StockX announced today the appointment of its newest board member, Stacy Brown-Philpot. Stacy will be an integral advisor to StockX as the company continues to expand internationally, strategically diversify its catalog, and cement its position as the trusted global platform for consuming and trading current culture

Stacy, a Detroit native, is a recognized industry leader with deep experience scaling global consumer operations at Google, and then as COO and CEO of the marketplace TaskRabbit. She also serves on the boards of Nordstrom, Noom and HP.

Additionally, as a founding member of SoftBank’s Opportunity Fund and a board member for Black Girls CODE, Stacy shares StockX’s values and has a clear passion for creating inclusive opportunities both in and outside the workplace.

“It is no coincidence that in only five years, StockX has established itself as a leading global marketplace of its kind. The company’s incredible growth is a testament to its disruptive model, exemplary leadership, and the team that serves as its foundation,” said Stacy. “I’m energized to partner with that team as a member of StockX’s Board of Directors. The company is close to home for me, both in its Detroit roots and technology-driven focus and I am honored to be part of the exciting journey ahead.”

“Stacy’s proven leadership and experience in both technology and consumer marketplaces will bring a new voice and powerful perspective to our board of directors,” said Scott Cutler, CEO at StockX. “Her experience in these areas as well as her passion for creating diverse and inclusive opportunities will help drive both our business and – more importantly – our values forward. We are proud to welcome her to the StockX team.”
