Originally released in 1985, the Reebok Club Champion, known as Reebok Club C, is one of Reebok’s most iconic tennis shoe collections. These minimalist sneakers feature a silhouette derived from vintage athletics. Although originally designed as a tennis shoe to meet the dress codes of exclusive tennis clubs, Club C has evolved into a lifestyle shoe worn by celebrities, sports enthusiasts, and everyday commuters.
The OG models feature a leather upper with a terry cloth liner, while other iterations offer a synthetic liner and textile or suede uppers. The Reebok Club C has undergone several modifications over the years, but the model we see most often is based on the Club Classic, the Club Campion, the Revenge Plus, and the Monterey. While simple, white color schemes dominate the Club C collection, many of the tennis shoes feature vibrant patterns and colors. The Reebok Club C TL Maison Margiela Vector Red comes with a bold Vector Red, white, and black colorway, while the Reebok Club C 85 Kung Fu Panda boasts a leather upper printed with Chinese characters. Although low-top models are the most recognizable silhouette, the collection also features high-top and mid-top designs.
While the Club Champion is not associated with a particular athlete, the collection has partnered with many notable brands and designers. Tyrrell Winston, JJJJound, Packer, Nicole McLaughlin, DC Entertainment, Brain Dead, Maison Margiela, and Adsum have all collaborated with Reebok Club C.
Although men’s footwear and women’s footwear are the largest categories, Reebok Club C also offers grade school sizes as well.
