Puma RS-X is a nostalgic reboot of the colourful 1980s OG Puma Running System (RS) line. The vibrant colourways, bulky silhouettes, and thick rubber soles of the OG sneaker are even bolder in the revamp. This new collection also includes Puma's trademarked Running System technology, which adds cushioning and decreases impact stress. These sneakers pay homage to iconic '80s pop culture moments through their designs and partnerships with other brands.

Noteworthy retro collaborations include Puma RS-X x MTV, which features neon colour schemes and flashy branding reminiscence of the TV music channel, and Puma RS-X ‘Space Explorer’, a sneaker line inspired by spacesuits and spaceships. The collection also partnered with Transformers to create a sneaker modelled after the childhood toy.

Featuring exaggerated designs, Puma RS-X offers men’s footwear, women’s footwear, and children’s footwear. These chunky sneakers come with a mesh and textile upper, which features lines, stripes, block-like shapes, or other bold patterns. Leather, suede, or plastic overlays cover the upper and the lace cage often overlaps both. The low boot design gives the sneaker added comfort and a bulkier appearance. While the colourways vary from sneaker to sneaker, they are usually bright and rarely highlight monochromatic elements.

The Puma RS-X Toys White is modelled after the primary colours found in retro children’s toys, while the Puma RS-X3 Haribo comes with an eye-catching Haribo Gold, Yellow and Red colourway. Colour schemes like these make the Puma RS-X stand out from other Running System sneakers, giving these running shoes both a vintage and futuristic appeal.
