Kishi

Born in Kanagawa Prefecture, 1972. Kishi started writing for Boon magazine (Shodensha) in 1993 while still in college. During the sneaker heyday in the 90’s, he was the sneaker expert for the magazine, working on numerous special features and separate volumes. Kishi greatly contributed to the high-tech sneaker boom driven by the media surrounding the NIKE AIR MAX 95. Since then, his life’s work has given him an unparalleled familiarity with the sneaker industry.

In recent years, he has been involved in editing catalogs and web content for domestic and international apparel brands, as well as producing books that archive the activities of brands and creators. He also works as a freelance editor in the general field of street culture. His writing can be found on the Japanese edition of StockX and the UNDEFEATED websites.
