How do I manage my personal data?


At StockX, we believe you should be in control of your personal information and want to make it easy to delete or request access to it. Our Trust Center, powered by WireWheel, allows you to manage your personal data yourself.

When you access the Trust Center, you'll have two options: A link to the StockX privacy policy and Submit Request.


To access or manage your data, you will have to click "Submit Request," where you will be presented with four options:

  1. Deletion Request: Submit a request to irreversibly delete your account and associated data

  2. Access Request: Submit a request for a downloadable copy of your personal data

  3. Correction Request: Make a correction to your personal data within StockX

  4. Portability Request: Receive a copy of your data, formatted for upload into another system


How do I submit a request to manage my data?


When you submit a rights request, you'll be prompted to designate whether you are requesting it for yourself or someone else. In general, only 3rd party data protection companies are authorized to manage this data on someone's behalf. 


Note: If managing this data for someone else, you will be required to provide proof that the owner of the data has given you permission to do so.


Once you select one of these options, you'll be prompted to select which of the four types of data request you are making.


From here, you'll be asked for some information before you can move forward with your request. This information is required to find your account and validate your ownership of it as a security measure. 


The information required to submit a request is:

  • An email address

    • use the one associated with your StockX account

  • Your first and last name

  • Your StockX username

    • can be accessed by clicking on My Account > Profile on the StockX app or site

  • Whether you are a resident of California or the European Union


Once you've filled out this information and submitted your request, you will be asked to verify your request via email. This email also contains your request ID and more information about what your request entails..


How Do I Confirm That My Request For Data Management Has Been Submitted?


In order to maintain StockX’s compliance with data privacy regulations, you’ll be asked to confirm your request via email once it has been submitted. This link must be followed within 30 minutes of submitting your request, and looks like this.


Once you click this link, you'll be directed to the WireWheel site, where you will be able to confirm your request by signing an affidavit that assures us you have made this request.


If you still wish to file your request, you will then be prompted to sign the affidavit, either using your mouse or by entering in your initials. Please use your name as it appears on your StockX account to avoid complications with this process.


Once your affidavit is signed, you'll be directed to another page that informs that your request has been submitted, and provides you with your request ID—please keep this number for your own records.


You will also be provided with a copy of your signed affidavit via your email.


Once you receive the signed copy of your affidavit via email, the process has completed and your request has been successfully received.


How do I view or manage my data request?


You’ll be sent confirmation via email once you have confirmed your data request and signed your affidavit. This email will contain the email you used to submit the request, your request ID number, and the expected date that your request will be submitted.


It will also provide you with a link to the data management portal, which you can use for the following purposes:

  • Viewing the status of your data management request

  • Receiving your data once your access or portability request is complete


You can always click on "view or manage request" if you want to review the data you've requested. Doing so will redirect you to the WireWheel site, where you will be prompted to log in using one of two methods:

  1. Logging in with your email and password: this will create an account with WireWheel, which will allow you to easily sign into the portal. This option is best for repeat visits and users who expect to be utilizing data management often

  2. Signing in with a temporary code WireWheel sends to your primary email address: this is the best option for single-use users of the portal


If you choose to receive a temporary, one-time use code, an email will be sent to you with the code provided, which expires 5 minutes after it has been sent. The email address must be the same as the one you used to submit your request.


In either case, once you've logged in to the privacy center, you'll find a list of your data requests and when they were submitted, under the Your Data tab on the left.


StockX strives to complete all data requests within 30 days of when they are requested.
