Sales Tax Exemption

Sales tax exemption allows qualifying buyers to remove sales tax from StockX purchases. Depending on your location in the US, StockX purchases may include sales tax, duty, VAT, or GST at checkout. To qualify, you must register a resale business with your local government and list StockX as a supplier of goods you intend to resell.

Who qualifies
You may qualify for a sales tax exemption if you are a tax-exempt person or organization and have registered a resale business with your local government listing StockX as a goods supplier for resale. Your business assumes responsibility for collecting sales tax on future sales made through your business.

How to apply
  1. Visit the Exemption Certificate Portal and enter your information.
  2. Follow the steps to submit your exemption certificate.
  3. Allow 5-7 business days for approval. Once confirmed, your account will no longer have sales tax applied to StockX purchases.

If your submission is rejected or requires changes, you will receive a notification with the specifics and can amend and resubmit.

Refunds on previous purchases
Sales tax exemption applies only to purchases made after registration is complete. StockX cannot refund sales tax paid on purchases prior to registration.
