Depending on your where you live in the US, you may be required to pay sales tax on your StockX purchases. You may see this in checkout under a few different names, including sales tax, duty, VAT, GST, etc.
When you buy an item on StockX, the required taxes may vary depending on the item’s price, composition, and your location.
Some states in the US allow Buyers to receive sales tax exemptions which remove the sales tax burden from each purchase. To qualify for an exemption, you must register your business with your local government stating that StockX is a supplier of goods for your business that you intend to resell. Your business will be responsible for the sales tax burden on your future sale, but you will be exempt from paying tax on your purchase from StockX.
If you are a tax-exempt person or organization, please visit our Exemption Certificate Portal and follow the steps accordingly. Once you have submitted your information, please allow 1-2 business days for approval and confirmation. If you have any questions, please Contact Us.
