What happens when a Seller breaks the rules?

Failure to complete a sale may result in a penalty charge of $15 USD or the equivalent in local currency.

Your account may incur a penalty charge if you fail to post the item within the allotted time period (typically two working days), or if you sell and send StockX an item that does not meet our condition guidelines or doesn’t exactly match the item as it is described on StockX in any way.

Penalty fees will be taken out of your payouts. If the payouts are not sufficient to cover the penalty fees, we will charge the card on file. If you would like to use your default payment method (credit or debit card) instead of having your fees deducted from your payouts, you can opt out in your settings by using the toggle in Account >> Wallet to disable fee deductions. You need to have a valid card on file when you turn this off. You can find information about your penalty fees in the Fees & Reversals section of your Payout Statement.

StockX reserves the right to batch charge these fees on a daily or weekly basis and to reattempt any failed payments. If we cannot recover fees from your credit or debit card on file, penalty fees may be deducted from your payouts, you may be unable to place asks, and/or your account may be suspended. You will receive an email notification if we are unable to collect payment for these fees.

StockX will not deduct penalty fees if it reduces a seller’s payout to less than $20. If payouts are insufficient to cover any outstanding fees during a given period, deductions will be limited. If fees remain unpaid for several days in a row, the card on file will be charged.

StockX cannot guarantee that your original receipt will be returned to you as the result of an item failing verification.

StockX has no obligation to return items that do not conform to the description (including, without limitation, the item is not new and unworn, the correct identified size or does not include the original box) or are counterfeit (in which case, StockX may turn those items over to the relevant authorities at your expense).

Failure to comply with our policy may result in a review for account suspension. For further details, please visit our FAQ: Why is my account on hold?
