Home Court Advantage

Paige Bueckers and Jamad Fiin unveil a new community court in St. Louis

Hometown heroes Paige Bueckers and Jamad Fiin bring the home court advantage to the city of St. Louis Park, Minnesota. The court has been revitalized in partnership with Project Backboard, a nonprofit organization that renovates public basketball courts to help strengthen communities and improve park safety. Learn more about the project below and get a full recap of the unveiling here.

Behind the Design

The newest full-size court to hit Minneapolis is a blended design inspired by the personal styles of StockX ambassadors Jamad Fiin and Paige Bueckers.

From the creative direction of StockX’s very own Art Director Lizzie Kassab, the court combines both player’s heritage and personality.

For Jamad, the court pays homage to her Somali heritage. The wavy lines represent East African woven textiles, and the red hues give a nod to bold Somalian sunsets.

Paige’s personality is on full display in the colorful design, reflecting her upbeat attitude, and the wavy lines reflect her “go with the flow” mentality that is the foundation of her resilience and adaptability.

“Be You. Be Great.” emblazons center court. This motto resonates with both athletes – Paige’s father says it to her before every game; Jamad sees it as communicating her goal of empowering young women of all backgrounds to be proud of their authentic selves.

Hometown Heroes

Paige Bueckers

Last year, we welcomed NCAA superstar and Minnesota-raised Paige Bueckers to the team in a first-of-its-kind, three-year partnership just after the NCAA announced their new NIL policy. The partnership represents our initial investment of opening up StockX’s platform for female athletes to showcase their personal style, interests, values, and most importantly amplify their voices and connect with their communities.

Jamad Fiin

Next, we welcomed Jamad Fiin to the team. Inspired by her commitment of uplifting the next generation of women athletes around the world, her partnership focuses on inclusivity and making fashion accessible for anyone, regardless of their background. Jamad is also no stranger to Minnesota. As a proud Somali woman, she’s hosted several basketball clinics in the state, which is home to one of the largest Somalian populations in the U.S.
