Starting today on the Finish Line blog is a 12-part series that we created with Larry Luk called “12 Days of LeBron 12.”
We’ve collaborated with Larry twice before on The Color of Sneaker Money and Sneaker Math Textbook. This time we’re imagining a new LeBron 12 colorway for 12 straight days, leading up to the shoe’s release on October 11. This basic concept is not unique, I know, but we’ve added three elements which we hope you’ll find distinct from previous attempts:
- A theme. Rather than simply rehashing old colorways on the new model, we’ve created 12 brand new colorways, all around a central theme.
- Campless. The same quality and style writing that you find on this blog, including relevant sneakerhead data, will accompany each picture.
- Larry. Most importantly, we’re very fortunate to be working with Larry Luk again, who has illustrated each colorway. If you haven’t seen his work, definitely check it out, but this much is clear: the dude can draw.
