Supreme collaborated with a large number of other brands as part of their Fall/Winter 2017 collection. A major focus was put onto the collaboration with the acclaimed series, AKIRA. Supreme was given permission to use images straight from the Katsuhiro original manga. They thoughtfully chose a small handful of images that were very memorable for anyone who has read the manga or watched the featured film. In a post-World War III war, Tokyo is being rebuilt after a large explosion took out much of the city. The scene featured on the tee is a moment when Tokyo an explosion occurs right in the heart of the city. The scene is featured on the back of the tee in its original glory. On the front we see the addition of the AKIRA kanji is added in red over the Supreme name in capitalized bold font on cardinal cotton tee. The piece lets the rear image do all the talking.
