The European Championships have started, and it will be even more heartfelt than usual: It was originally scheduled for 2020 but, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was postponed to 2021. 24 national teams will take part in the competition, divided into six groups. It will be the first Euros to be played in different venues across Europe, with the final being played on July 11th at Wembley Stadium in London.

Italy started its journey in Rome, playing against Turkey. We all hope that it will be a long road ahead that will make us rejoice after other recent international disappointments.

To help you arrive at the game stress-free, weā€™ve thought up a Rome City Guide both for those who visit the Eternal City before going to the stadium and those who are passing through looking to enjoy a good pre-game and somewhere to watch the match. This isnā€™t only for Italian fans. You can find guides for London, Munich and Amsterdam on our blog.

Where to manage pre-match anxiety

It is common knowledge that we donā€™t all know how to manage anticipation, especially anticipation for a big event like the European Championships. So why not enjoy a pre-game dinner and let yourself be soothed by good food? After all, a nice carbonara makes everything better (even the cacio e pepe works).

Where to watch the match

Here is the focal point of this guide. For those of you who canā€™t get to the stadium: ā€œwhere can I go to watch the game?ā€

As a general area and reference point, we recommend Campo De Fiori because many clubs have a screen set up outside and allow people to watch the game. However, we are certainly not limited in our recommendations.

Bars that are suitable for both celebrating and crying

They say that the important thing is to participate. But there is only one certainty in whether you win or lose: going to the bar after the game. This is why we have thought of some places that can accommodate both joy and sadness with a glass in hand.
