From Travis Scott's latest Air Jordan 1 to the new AMBUSH Nike Air Force 1, find out the best sneakers to be released this week in this latest installment of The Drop List.

This article is part 221 of 188 in the series: The Drop List

This week, Jordan Brand brings out the old and the new, AMBUSH continues their reign of remixed Nike silhouettes, and a famous Nike SB Dunk Low makes its return in a new way. Find out which sneaker releases are the most popular, which are the most expensive, and which new Jordans, Nikes, and more are coming your way in this latest installment of The Drop List.

The Most Expensive Sneaker This Week

Air Jordan 1 Chicago (1994)

Right off the heels of this yearā€™s Air Jordan 1 Chicago retro, this past week saw one of the most expensive sales being the 1994 retro of the same colorway, selling for $7,710. Unlike 2022ā€™s version, this vintage sneaker features smooth leather throughout in its signature color palette and blocking. This yearā€™s Lost and Founds are certainly grails in themselves but nothing touches a 90s remake.Ā

Best Sneakers Releasing This Week

Air Jordan 7 Cardinal (2022)

One of Michael Jordanā€™s original colorways for his sevent signature model is making a return this Saturday. It is the third time that the Air Jordan 7 Cardinal is being retroed, with 2011 as the last time Jordan fans were able to snag a refreshed pair of the colorway. Now, 2022ā€™s retro sees the colorway coming back in an entirely OG look, equipped with raised neoprene tongue, white tumbled leather, and classic Cardinal Red and Chutney accents make this a true return for the popular Jordan 7.

Air Jordan 1 Low OG SP Travis Scott Black Phantom

La Flame is back with a new addition to his Jordan 1 collaborations, this time deviating from his familiar Mocha color combos. The Air Jordan 1 Low OG SP Travis Scott Black Phantom displays an entirely premium Black suede upper with white contrast stitching throughout. A white embroidered bee on the left shoeā€™s heel tab brings some mystery to the nature of this collab, seeing that the moniker has never made an appearance on his previous collabs (maybe a reference to his upcoming ā€œUtopiaā€ album???). Lastly, a signature Reverse Swoosh ties this partnership altogether.

Nike SB Dunk Low Sandy Bodecker

The Nike SB Dunk Low Sandy Bodecker is an ode to a legend within Nikeā€™s history, Sandy Bodecker. Bodecker was the founder of Nikeā€™s skateboarding division, helping catapult the Swoosh as a major player within the skateboarding sport. Back in 2003, he made headlines for purchasing a grail pair of Nike SB Dunk Lows during Nikeā€™s charitable auctione in support of Portland area skateparks. With only two in existence, and one of the two being sawed into multiple pieces, this original SB was only something of sneaker history. That is until 2022, seeing the exclusive colorway come back in wacky, pre-cut way. The sneaker is comprised of a white, blue, yellow, and red patent leather upper, similar to its original. A twist comes in itā€™s translucent components throughout, giving the illusion of a sawed shoe. No need to wait for an auction as these sneakers are dropping this week on the SNKRS app.

Nike Zoom Cortex x sacai Iron Grey

sacai is serving looks, once again, in its signature spliced-aesthetic (2 collars, 2 Swooshes, 2 tongues). This time, the silhouette is pairing up with Nikeā€™s first classic for the shoeā€™s 50th anniversaryā€“ the Cortez. The Zoom Cortez x sacai, layered up in detail, is dressed for time-traveling style, era-echoing ā€˜70s materials like nylon and suede, and propels Nike design into the new future. Warp time and make everyone do a double take in the new Zoom Cortez x sacai.

Air Jordan 9 Fire RedĀ

The Air Jordan 9 Fire Red shares a similar name to its OG Jordan 3 predecessor from 1988, but rocks a different color scheme. Latest retro of Michael Jordan’s ninth signature model sports a Cool Grey patent leather mudguard, heel, and midsole. A White leather upper with Fire Red eyelets bring additional contrast to the shoe and bring a necessary pop to the silhouette.

New Balance 9060 Bodega Age of Discovery

Bodega is back with New Balance, this time focusing on historic landmarks and Renaissance artworks. The sneaker takes on the mix of suede and mesh, with a chunky midsole that is a key detail piece to the new 9060 model. Accents of Purple come through on the eyestays and medial dashed New Balance ā€œNā€ logo.

Nike Air Force 1 Low AMBUSH Game Royal & Pine Green

Yoon Ahn, the founder of Japanese clothier, AMBUSH, is back with her latest take on one of Nikeā€™s most revered model, the Air Force 1. The Nike Air Force 1 Low AMBUSH boasts the same extended Swoosh seen on her previous Nike Dunk High collabs. This round of AMBUSH Nikes brings Game Royal and Pine Green colorways on the classic basketball silhouette, with Citron and Vivid Sulfur added on the Swoosh and heel tab. Exposed tongue on each pair bring a vintage vibe to the sneaker.

Nike Air Force 1 Low Billie Mushroom & Sequoia

Billie Eilish is back! And this time, she brought two Air Force 1 Lows with herā€“ the Mushroom and the Sequoia. Both shoes represent new beginnings for the giant pop star. Utilizing scraps left over from her previous AF1 High on the upper of this AF1 Low and adding sustainable materials, these sneakers bring a progressive contemporary perspective.

Editorā€™s Sneaker Pick of the Week

Crocs Mega Crush Clog & Cozzzy Sandal

I thought Iā€™d pick a more unconventional pair of footwear this week. Why? Only because one of my favorite artists, SZA, dropped her latest album entitled SOS and it’s already making its way to #1 on the charts, as well as my playlist.Ā

The Grammy-award singer reunited with Crocs to create a Y2K loversā€™ dream. A polar opposite from the smooth, woodgrain sandal and clog she released this year, this Cozzzy Sandal and Crush Clog arrive in a distressed denim pattern that screams early-2000s. The colorful collaboration has an ultra-soft fuzzy lining that keeps your open toes warm. Youā€™ll also notice retro-inspired Jibbitz charms with Y2K memorabiliaā€“ a flip phone, floppy disks, and puka shells. I mean, this Croc is literally the bomb.com.
