While most think of the Nike Dunk Lows as skating shoes, it’s actually basketball where they were originally born. Back in 1985, Nike introduced two sneakers specifically for college hoops, the Nike Dunk High and the Dunk Low. At that time, only seven colleges were represented in the original colorways for both silhouettes. Fast forward to the ‘90s, and suddenly the Dunk silhouette became the ultimate skating sneaker for kids across the world. A few years later in 2003, Nike would drop the OG Nike Dunk Lows again with the addition of a new green colorway.

It’s common knowledge that Virgil Abloh’s partnership with Nike has done nothing but give customers legendary kicks year after year. And even though this sneaker isn’t an original SB Dunk, Virgil still paid tribute to the skate community with this drop when the shoes released in December of 2019. Now, we decided to show all of the details on what many might consider being the greatest Nike Dunk Low ever.
