What began as something of a curiosity for the watch collecting community, has evolved into a true force to be reckoned with. Apple is now the best selling watch brand in the US thanks to their Apple Watch. At number 2 sits Rolex. It is with this momentum that Apple introduces the fifth generation of their smart watch, called Apple Watch Series 5.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the biggest critiques of the Apple Watch, particularly among analog watch wearers, is the need to raise your wrist, or tap the display to activate the display. That changes with the Series 5, with an always on display. This isn\u2019t just for the time, any complications you\u2019re using will also be visible. The display will brighten when the wrist is lifted or the screen tapped, and best of all, there is no compromise to battery life thanks to the ultra-low refresh rate of the screen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Apple Watch Series 5 is packaged in a familiar looking case, which is still offered in both 40mm and 44mm. In addition to the familiar aluminum, steel and ceramic case material options, Apple is introducing titanium available in 2 brushed finishes. All remain waterproof with all the activity features you\u2019ve come to rely on.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Inside, the S4 chip remains the driving force of Apple\u2019s continued focus on health research. Thanks to this hardware, Apple has launched the Hearing Study, the Women\u2019s Health Study, and the Heart and Movement Study to take advantage of the watch\u2019s new feature set.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
