adidas Has Released A Lot of All White Sneakers

Quick, what sneaker would you pull up on StockX if someone asked you for the latest Bid / Ask activity on the adidas Ultra Boost in white?  What about in all white?  Triple white?  OK, that was kind of a trick question.  How about the adidas NMD in white?  Whiteout? Triple white? White monochrome?

See what we did there?  Does your brain hurt yet?

The mass proliferation of all-white colorways being applied to the adidas Ultra Boost and the adidas NMD is enough to single-handedly keep both Jason Markk and Crep Protect in business through next summer.

So, while sneakerheads in the northern hemisphere are starting to fully roll out the fall and winter portions of their collections and (hopefully) store their white kicks until Memorial Day 2017, let’s break down the resell data on the all-white colorways for the Ultra Boosts and NMDs.

The data included below is based on sales on StockX for men’s sizes only, through November 14, 2016.

Note that we have included the model number for each sneaker in both of the charts since there are more all white adidas sneakers to keep track of than there are agreed upon nicknames for each all white colorway.

Key Insights:

  • The endless restocks of the Triple White has driven down resell prices to just above retail
  • Kanye wore the All White Ultra Boost, not the Triple White
  • Only $31 separates the average resell price of the bottom six pairs of white Ultra Boosts
  • The J&D Triple White Ultra Boost has a resell price around $480 but no pairs have sold on StockX so it is not included in the chart above

Key Insights:

  • Sneakerheads love the “OG White” NMD
  • Comparatively, the OG Core Black NMD has an average resell price on StockX of $777
  • We were surprised to see the R1 Whiteout, a personal favorite, only carry a $25 resell premium

In Conclusion:

Do we think that adidas has released a lot of white, all-white, triple white, white/white/white, white monochrome sneakers?

Yes.

But that shouldn’t stop you from checking out their latest (mostly) all-white offering HERE with the new adidas Uncaged Ultra Boost Parley
