On October 1st, Paige Bueckers and Jamad Fiin came together in the city of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, to unveil a new community basketball court. The court was revitalized in partnership with Project Backboard, a nonprofit organization that renovates public basketball courts to help strengthen communities and improve park safety and features a design that blends the styles of Bueckers and Fiin. Though the colorful design and wavy lines mean something different to both Bueckers and Fiin, the court is a vibrant expression of both athletes.
The phrase, “Be You. Be Great.” is emblazoned at center court and has deep meaning for Bueckers and Fiin alike. It’s the saying that Paige’s Father says to her before every game. And for Jamad Fiin it communicates the goal on her heart: to empower young women of all backgrounds to be proud of their authentic selves.
Paige Bueckers joined the StockX family as an official ambassador in 2021, shortly after the NCAA announced their NIL policy. Since then, she’s been a key member of StockX’s Built Different campaign, a celebration of women in current culture, and a key partner for StockX.
Paige’s style and personality are reflected not only in the artwork that makes up the court but also in her several looks at the event where the court was unveiled. Colorful and vibrant, all of her looks reflect her upbeat attitude and “go with the flow” mentality. Shop Paige’s “Be You. Be Great.” Community Court Looks below.
For Paige’s first look, she stepped out wearing the Nike Dunk Low Chlorophyll. The shoe officially released earlier this year and quickly became a hit with sneakerheads and style influencers alike. This sneaker pairs well with Paige’s all blue look, in no small part due to its sleek green leather upper with darker green overlays and white accents. It’s a must-have for anyone who loves the color green, Nike Dunks, or even plants.
Paige’s first look of the day for the unveiling of the court also features the Jordan x Union MJ Liner Jacket. Designed in collaboration with Union Los Angeles, a highly influential store owned by two of streetwear’s most iconic personalities, Chris Gibbs and Bephie Birkett, this jacket is an absolute must-have for any serious sneakerhead or streetwear aficionado. In Equator Blue, the jacket is impossible to miss and unmistakably eye catching. It pairs exceptionally well with Paige’s Off-White Bag and Akila Sunglasses.
As a look one accessory, Paige Bueckers wore the Off-White Diag Flap Bag in the fashion brand’s white colorway. The bag prominently features Off-White’s iconic diag pattern on the front of it and delivers a bright and colorful pink and blue strap. Paired alongside her Equator Blue Jordan x Union Jacket, this bag delivers a perfect bit of colorful contrast to the look. Additionally, the bag could very easily be paired with a hoodie from another of Paiges court unveiling looks, the Off-White Tape Diag Arrows Hoodie, although that would be a lot of Off-White for one outfit. This bag expertly toes the complex line between minimalism and maximalism, and Paige’s accompanying outfit shows just how easily it can be integrated into yours.
Paige wore the Nike Dunk Low Next Nature Arctic Orange in both her second and third looks of the weekend, pairing them with a colorful cardigan and an Off-White Hoodie on separate occasions. The shoe features a bold warm woven fabric construction, accented by light green tumbled leather overlays. Finishing it off and delivering a laid back, relaxed vibe is the “Nike Sun Club” embroidery at the heel. This Nike Dunk aligns perfectly with Paige’s own personal style, delivering vibrant, relaxing colors and a “go with the flow” energy.
For her third and final look of the occasion, Paige matched her Nike Dunk Low Sun Clubs with Off-White’s Tape Diag Arrows Hoodie. Released as a part of the fashion brand’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection, this hoodie delivers Off-White branding that is both covered in and made of masking tape. The front of the hoodie features an Off-White logo with masking tape over it and the back features Off-White’s Diag Logo made from masking tape. Although the hoodie is not currently available in the orange colorway that Paige wore at the event, it can be shopped in white or black on StockX below.
