The first drop of the Supreme Spring/Summer 2021 season has officially released and we’re taking a look at everything that happened in Week 1 from a KAWS Collaboration to new t-shirts.

With the release of Week 1 on February 18th, Supreme’s Spring/Summer 2021 season has begun. After a big FW20 season closed out with the delivery of the brand new Cross Box Logo design, Supreme decided to hit the ground running in SS21. The Week 1 release included the most hyped pieces of the entire preview: a collaborative Box Logo-esque hoodie with KAWS. In past seasons, it’s been unusual to see the brand release their most anticipated items in the first week but Supreme has set SS21 off with a bang. The hoodies were accompanied by a set of matching skate decks and over 250 other pieces including new t-shirts and accessories as a part of the debut drop. Outside of the KAWS collaboration, Supreme Spring Summer 2021 Week 1 included a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle T-shirt, a set of branded Aluminum Dice, and a pair of (potentially?) Prince-inspired undies. From a deeper dive into the KAWS collaboration, to TMNT T-shirts, to the drop’s most exciting accessories, we’ve broken down the Supreme Spring Summer 2021 Week 1 release.

Supreme KAWS Chalk Logo

Supreme x KAWS

The resurrection of the Supreme KAWS Chalk Logo from 2011 was easily the biggest news of SS21 Week 1, but the release may have left some fans slightly disappointed. Rumors had been swirling about the two brands coming together again for years and most fans were likely hoping to see something new. Supreme and KAWS released a retro version of their Chalk Logo instead, a design originally used when the two brands worked together last a decade ago. For some, this Chalk Logo is enough. For others though, a simple retro logo just isn’t doing the job. To those fans left longing for more, we’d suggest holding on to hope that Supreme and KAWS have more in store for us. If we had to bet, we think there’s at least a Chalk Logo T-shirt in our future and it’s entirely possible that Supreme is merely giving us a taste of what’s to come with these hoodies and skate decks. After all, it wouldn’t be the first time Supreme has spread a collaboration out across a whole season instead of dropping it all at once.

Supreme Water Pistol T-Shirt

New T-shirts

Like the sun rises each morning, Supreme drops nearly a dozen t-shirts for Week 1 each season. It’s become tradition that the brand releases new t-shirts at the beginning of every season and the lineup for Supreme’s Spring/ Summer 2021 Week 1 drop did not disappoint. Supreme offered up 10 new T-shirts as a part of SS21 Week 1 and the stand-out piece was by far the Water Pistol T-shirt. The shirt features a model against a white backdrop holding up a Supreme Water Pistol, one of the brand’s accessories from SS11. The graphic gives off big James Bond Girl vibes and depending on the color of t-shirt, the model can be found holding either a blue or red water gun. Other Week 1 T-shirt highlights were the Raphael T-shirt and the Five Boroughs T-shirt, which features the usage of the Supreme Classic Logo, a brand mark that hasn’t found itself on a t-shirt in years. Overall, Supreme’s Spring Summer 2021 season opening T-shirt rotation was strong and it’s possible that some of these pieces may end up on a 2021 Best Of list.

Supreme Dice Set

Supreme Spring Summer 2021 Accessories

Nobody would be shocked to hear that Supreme has cooked up more than 30 new accessories, big and small, for SS21. This season’s accessory lineup was led by Sea-Doo Jet Ski and features several new chairs, a mini-fridge, nerf guns, a box of cereal, a 35mm film camera, and more. For SS21 Week 1, Supreme’s offering was somewhat lackluster. Traditionally a big week for accessories, SS21’s Week 1 drop featured just five new pieces while FW20 included eight and SS20 included seven. The standout accessory was the branded Aluminum Alloy Dice Set and its debossed case. If you bought last season’s playing cards, SS21’s Dice Set is exactly what you need to correctly coordinate the vibes all throughout game night. Supreme released a new set of water vessels as well, this season working with Zoku on their protected Glass Core water bottle. For those who spend most of their free-time outside, the streetwear label also dropped a branded Kite with Prism. Supreme Raphael T-Shirt

Supreme x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

In the weeks leading up to Spring/Summer 2021 Week 1, one of the most circulated rumors was that fans could expect to see a Supreme x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle collaboration. With Week 1 behind us, Supreme has delivered on that rumor but their small release will likely leave expectant customers wanting more. Supreme’s Raphael T-shirt features a graphic of the Ninja Turtles’ most aggressive member wearing a branded headband in place of his traditional plain red one. If you’ve followed the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Raph’s appearance in a Supreme headband doesn’t feel out of place considering he’s certainly the most likely of the four to wear the brand. For fans who were hoping for more, there is a chance that we’ll see a larger collaborative release between Supreme and TMNT, but it’s just as possible that Raphael is all we’re getting.

Supreme Hanes

Your Favorite Undies In a New Colorway

Supreme returned to one of their well-worn paths in SS21, re-upping their collaboration with Hanes by restocking their basics in multiple colors and adding a new colorway to the catalog. Whether it be inspired by Prince or Future, Supreme and Hanes dropped a purple colorway of their t-shirts, underwear, and socks as a part of the Week 1 release. This brings the total number of Supreme x Hanes undergarments on StockX to more than 25 items. That’s six pairs of undies, four pairs of socks, and more than ten different t-shirt options. Whether you’re picking up a pair and revamping your underwear drawer for the first time or restocking your collection, Supreme x Hanes is available on StockX in every variety.
