Shopping for back-to-school doesn't have to be hard or expensive thanks to StockX. From Converse, Nike and more, check out all of these great kicks each under $100.

This article is part 7 of 12 in the series: Back to School

I remember back in high school when sneakers were the rage and finding a notable pair that you can stunt in was a challenge. If I wanted to look really good, I, (really my parents), had to spend so much just on the kicks alone. Access to sneakers back then wasn’t what it is today, and thanks to StockX, there are amazing options at low prices that will make any back-to-school outfit a major win. Check out all of these sneakers from Nike, Converse, and more all under $100.

Converse Run Star Hike Hi Black White Gum

The Converse Run Star Hike Hi is a literal elevated take on the classic Chuck Taylor. And although it’s technically a platform sneaker, which is stereotypically known to cater to a female demographic, the Converse Run Star Hike Hi is actually a unisex silhouette, coming in both men’s and women’s sizing. With a spiked treaded outsole and thick, comfortable midsole, the Run Star Hike is ready to trail the streets and the halls. And for under $100, you can get a solid sneaker that will last you all year long without breaking the bank.

Nike Air Max 95 Smoke Grey

It’s rare for a Nike Air Max 95 to trade so far below its retail price, let alone under $100, so it’s important to capitalize on its price now. The Nike Air Max 95 has remained one of the Swoosh’s most revered silhouettes thanks to its anatomy-inspired design and Air Max technology. The sneaker was once considered a premier running shoe in 1995, but has later been adopted within pop culture as a streetwear staple. The Nike Air Max 95 Smoke Grey, in particular, features the classic layered levels on the upper, with a mix of canvas and denim materials. Cop this pair soon as prices are sure to surpass $100 in the next few weeks.

New Balance 550 White Grey (Grade School)

The New Balance 550 remains a certified necessity for the school year, as the silhouette is still one of the most traded New Balance models on StockX. Ever since Teddy Santis and his Aimé Leon Dore imprint revived the 1980s sneaker back in 2020, the sneaker has become extremely popular and sought after by most, and is sure to be the footwear option of choice for school. For those with smaller feet, New Balance 550 White Grey is the way to go, as it is currently trading below $100 and is in a clean, all-white colorway. These New Balance 550s are perfect for any season and are a must for your rotation.

Nike Air Force 1 Mid Stüssy Black White

Anything Nike and Stüssy touches are pure gold, and when their sneakers are trading below $100, they’re even more special. Such is true for their collaborative Air Force 1 Mid. The Nike Air Force 1 Mid Stüssy Black White is a part of Nike and Stüssy’s capsule drop from earlier this summer, dropping alongside two other Mid colorways. This pair adds luxe details to the signature basketball sneaker, sporting smooth black leather uppers, faux snakeskin Swooshes, and a chrome Stüssy interlocked S logo emblem on the heel tab. Additionally, instead of the typical perforation holes on the toe, this special release swaps for a double “S” logo on the toe, marking this as another collaborative drop for the books.

Vans Sk8-Hi Black White

The Vans Sk8-Hi Black White is another great, everyday pick-up for the school year that is trading well below $100. The Vans Sk8-Hi is a sneaker made to take a beating, as its original function was for the rough asphalt and scratchy griptape of skateboarding. Today, the sneaker is admired for its durability and timeless look. They’re a sneaker that goes with just about anything you put with it, and with most pairs trading around $44-50, buying a pair is a no-brainer.

Nike Cortez Union Lemon Frost

Like the Nike x Stüssy release above, Nike’s latest partnership Union LA is another steal for under $100. Since 2019, Union LA and Nike have produced top-tier products that sell out in minutes and become instant grails. Although this sneaker is currently selling way below retail, the story behind the shoe alongside its connection to West Coast culture and LA’s diverse demographic, make it a future must-have piece. The Nike Cortez Union Lemon Frost is equipped with Nike’s Crater Foam midsole, a green initiative that utilizes ground-up materials found on Nike’s factory floors. From there, both textile and suede materials make up the majority of the upper, while cork insoles provide additional comfort.

Nike Blazer Mid 77 White Black

Another solid option for everyday wear is the Nike Blazer. From its full-grain leather upper and mid-cut construction, it is a sneaker that can be worn all day and will look even better when broken in. The Nike Blazer Mid 77 has transcended its basketball utility and is considered an everyday staple for many. The sneaker comes in a variety of colors and sizes, but nothing beats the neutral White Black colorway.
