The Panerai Luminor Base Manual PAM 176 Black watch from the Officine Panerai Historic Collection is lightweight, yet sturdy, due to the addition of a brushed titanium case. True to its name and Panerai’s trademarked technology, the 176’s sandwich dial sets a stencil featuring the Arabic numeral hour markers over an entirely luminous disc. The resulting glow allows for exceptional use at night or in other low-light areas. Take a look through the sapphire crystal covering the bottom of the watch and you’ll see the 176’s intricate OP X movement. Although this movement was originally adapted from a Unitas 6497 pocket watch, Panerai’s reconstruction offers several manufacturer refinements – such as a swan’s neck regulator, an increased power reserve and upgraded screws and finishing.
