The Supreme AKIRA Yamagata Tee is the most graphic image from the entire collaborative collection. Although Supreme was allowed access to Katsuhiro Otomoās original artwork to the story, it was a surprise to some that they didnāt choose more explicit images. The manga and film are filled with plenty of strong imagery, gore and the graphic nature of the story is also what has made it so popular. However the image featured on the tee is one of the strongest images from AKIRA. The scene derives from a moment when one of the main characters, Tetsuo, kills his friend and fellow gang member Yamagata. The gangās leader, Kaneda, is the one who is clutching the bloody body of his friend. The artwork is changed up slightly with Yamagata now wearing a Supreme box logo top. The printed graphic was added to the front of the lime version of the classic cotton tee.
