IWC Aquatimer Chronograph Tribute to Calypso IW3782-03 Blue is a limited edition, self-winding automatic watch, featuring a 44mm stainless steel case encircling a blue dial. A black rubber strap is secured by a stainless steel tang buckle.

The watch is a nod to legendary sea traveler Jacques-Yves Cousteau, who sailed the Seven Seas in his iconic “Calypso” research vessel, which sank in 1996 after a collision at the Singapore Harbor. IWC contributes a portion of the proceeds from each sale of the limited 2500 piece run of this watch to the salvation of the vessel. Engraved on the back of each are the words “ Tribute to Calypso, International Watch Company, xxxx/2500.”

The watch’s functions include hours, minutes, small-seconds, and day and date. A blue dial and black sub-dials are the backdrop to luminous silver rimmed hands and hour markers, a day and date display at the 3 o’clock position, and the singular black and yellow unidirectional turning bezel beneath the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.

The band is black rubber. A stopwatch function is available with yellow hand indicators between the 12 o’clock and 3 o’clock positions. The watch movement is powered by the IWC’s own 79320 calibre, with a power reserve of 44 hours and a water resistance to 400 feet. The watch is no longer available from the manufacturer, but you can place an Ask or Bid on StockX today.
