Supreme Dirt Bike

Supreme loves a good bike. Their collaborative BMX bike with S&M Bikes released on Thursday, May 7th, 2020, and it wasn’t the first time Supreme has worked on a bike. It also wasn’t the second or third or even fourth time they’ve collaborated on a bike. The Supreme S&M BMX 1995 Dirtbike makes for Supreme’s fifth bike collaboration ever and their second in the last twelve months. Supreme also released a bike helmet earlier in the season as a part of their SS20 Week 7 drop.

Supreme’s Week 11 collaborator, S&M, was founded in 1987 and released their first iteration of the dirtbike in 1989. It weighs in at 30 pounds, featuring 20” wheels on a S&M frame, original S&M Slam Bars, and an engraved Supreme logo. It should come as no surprise that it comes in just one color, Supreme Red. Retailing at nearly $1,900, the BMX bike is certain to be one of the brand’s highest priced items of the season.

Supreme’s history of collaboration vehicles of the two-wheeled variety is extensive. In 1998, Supreme collaborated on their first bike with Brooklyn Machine Works. The result was a BMX bike similar to the S&M bike. Now the bikes are nearly the stuff of urban legend, talked about but rarely seen; It’s rumored that Eric Clapton owns one. More recently, Supreme collaborated with Coleman on a CT200U Mini Bike during SS17. The Coleman CT200U retailed for just under $1,000 USD and weighed in at over 100 pounds, making it tricky to trade. In 2018, Supreme collaborated with Santa Cruz on a mountain bike which retailed for over $2,500 USD. Last but not least, as a part of their FW19 collaboration with Fox and Honda, Supreme released a friends and family only CRF 250R Dirt Bike. Because of their sizes and weights, previous Supreme bikes have not been included as a part of StockX’s catalog.
