A Fiat 500 and even a website made, www.AKIRA2018.com, were made to let the world know the Supreme x AKIRA collaboration was happening. The streetwear giant worked with AKIRA as part of their Fall/Winter 2017. The Katsuhiro Otomo acclaimed manga and film is a favorite animation for many. Supreme was allowed access to the original original artwork from the Otomo manga and this particular image will be familiar to anyone who has read or seen AKIRA. The “Arm” tee is a moment when one of the main characters loses control of his special abilities and his arm starts to transform in front of him. An iconic moment, Supreme added their own touch to the art by letting adding their box logo tee to the scene. The white tee has the outlined image added to the center of the chest. The image is even used on other pieces of the collection. As usual with their release the white Supreme AKIRA Arm Tee was a popular item when they released to most of the world on November 2nd, 2017.
