The Rolex Submariner may be the Model T of dive watches, but it does come in other colors than black. The Submariner 116619LB features a rich blue dial and matching blue ceramic bezel on a white gold case and bracelet. The use of white gold elevates the Submariner to more luxury watch than tool watch (and a price tag to match), which is why it gets a pass on the flashy pop of color. Audemars Piguet Royal Oak<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time we\u2019ve talked about the Royal Oak around here<\/a>. It\u2019s a watch that gets attention for many reasons (deservedly so), but today we need to talk about that dial. The first thing you notice about a Royal Oak, perhaps outside of its shape, is the pattern on the dial. Upon closer inspection you\u2019ll see it\u2019s not just printed on, it\u2019s called a Tapisserie pattern, and we can\u2019t describe it any better than watching this video can on how it\u2019s made<\/a> can. It\u2019s beautiful, and the resulting color is a deep, dark blue that sings in the right light. Get your hands on one here, with an Ask listed at $26,500<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Breitling Navitimer<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Say what you will about Breitling, the Navitimer is a classic deserving of the attention it gets from collectors of all stripes. We\u2019ve written about the history of the Navitimer before, check it out here for refresher<\/a>. We love this model for it\u2019s dial, though. It provides a beautiful base to the flurry of information presented on the dial. The light yellow and red accents add just enough pop to the package as a whole. There\u2019s currently an Ask listed at just $5,000 for this example<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

The Omega Seamaster isn\u2019t the first thing that comes to mind when discussing fashionable watches, but after Omega introduced a \u201cBig Blue\u201d variant of the Planet Ocean this year at Basel, that might change. The Big Blue is a statement piece if nothing else, clocking in at 45mm in diameter, and donning an all blue color scheme with bright orange accents. That\u2019s not to say there\u2019s nothing of substance to be found, the bezel is ceramic and the Omega caliber 8906 brings a GMT complication to the party. F.P. Journe Souveraine Chronometre Bleu<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Once can\u2019t discuss superlative blue dials without mentioning the Souveraine Chronometre Bleu. This is a dial that has a near organic quality in its ability to change depending on the lighting conditions. Of course, the rest of the watch is equally as intoxicating, with an all gold bespoke movement and a svelte tantalum case that measures a perfect 39mm. It\u2019s a damn near perfect dress watch in every regard, blue dial or not.
