Rolex<\/a> wasn\u2019t the only brand to drop a steel, Pepsi bezel GMT<\/a> at this year\u2019s Baselworld fair. Their sibling brand Tudor<\/a>, welcomed the famed colorway into their stable for the first time in the form of an all new Black Bay with GMT complication, the reference M79830RB<\/a>. If you felt that the Pepsi GMT from Rolex felt a little too \u201cluxury\u201d and not enough \u201ctool\u201d (see our full review of that watch right here<\/a>), this Tudor should be right up your alley. Not only is it a lot more toned down in the flash department, it\u2019s got callbacks to some of the early GMTs from Rolex, and is about as close to a throwback GMT as you\u2019re going to see coming out of the Crown anytime soon.<\/p>\n

While the Black Bay GMT has a lot of heritage appeal, there\u2019s a lot that\u2019s new here, including the movement, which was designed and built by Tudor. This is a lot of watch on its own right, especially when you consider its price point, which comes in under 50% of the cost of the Rolex GMT. There\u2019s been a lot of hype around the release of this watch, and now that they\u2019re slowly making their way into the market, we spent some time wearing one to see if it lives up the anticipation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
