Each took one shoe from a pair of LeBron James&#8217; first signature sneaker, the Nike Air Zoom Generation.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/stockx-sneaker-analysis\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/dan-gilbert-azg-lebron-stockx-customs.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"StockX Image\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3847\" src=\"http:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/stockx-sneaker-analysis\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/dan-gilbert-azg-lebron-stockx-customs.gif\" alt=\"Dan Gilbert's AZG LeBron Customs by El Cappy and JBF Customs\" width=\"500\" height=\"270\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dan Gilbert is from Detroit and he&#8217;s taken the challenge of bringing his hometown back to life by bringing is businesses back to the place where it all started. To take on the Detroit themed sneaker, <a href=\"https:\/\/var\/app\/current\/news-tmp-0801.instagram.com\/elcappy\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\">El Cappy<\/a>,\u00a0a Detroit native himself, took the map of downtown Detroit\u2013 where Gilbert has relocated his companies in an effort to bring the city back to life\u2013 and used his handy work to showcase the excitement that has revived The D. Cap&#8217;s detailed paint work and attention to the intricate details of the city&#8217;s rejuvenated footprint, including logos for the companies Quicken, Fathead, Bedrock and StockX whom\u00a0now calldowntown Detroit home. On the heel reads, &#8220;Like Stocks and Bonds We Trade Jordans and LeBrons,&#8221; which\u00a0sounds like an appropriate mission statement for us here at StockX.<img decoding=\"async\" title=\"StockX Image\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" size-large wp-image-3843 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/stockx-sneaker-analysis\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/12-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Dan Gilbert Nike LeBron Air Zoom Generation Customs by El Cappy &amp; JBF Customs\" width=\"730\" height=\"487\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Gilbert&#8217;s commitment to bringing a championship to his second home, &#8220;The Land,&#8221; is top priority. Naturally, a pair of LeBrons were in order but\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/var\/app\/current\/news-tmp-0801.instagram.com\/jbfcustoms\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\">JBF Customs<\/a>\u2013 a native of Cleveland \u2013took things to another level. JBF reworked the Nike AZG with materials from authentic NBA basketballs and Cleveland Cavaliers jerseys. Poignantly tying in the quest to bring an NBA Championship to Cleveland with a set\u00a0of laces made from\u00a0actual gold. The perfect representation of a city, team and owner, ready to bring home a ring.<\/p>\n<p>The result of the work from El Cappy and JBF Customs is the Dan Gilbert Nike Air Zoom Generation customs that bring together Detroit and Cleveland in one pair of shoes. The guiding words for each of Gilbert&#8217;s companies, known as ISMs, can be found on the insoles of each shoe\u00a0with the StockX logo being the common bond between these otherwise completely unique and customized sneakers.<\/p>\n<p>Two cities. One common thread.
