So, you want to sell or buy a handbag on StockX, but not sure if your Chanel classic flap or Louis Vuitton tote is in excellent condition? You have standards, and so do we, so let\u2019s make this easy for the both of us and give you a rundown of what we accept.<\/span><\/p>\n

First things first: StockX only accepts authentic handbags and accessories in excellent condition. This means there is minimal to no signs of daily wear. <\/span><\/p>\n

Each handbag sent to StockX undergoes a thorough inspection by our team of expert authenticators to ensure its authenticity and confirm its condition. We do a full exterior condition assessment, including checking the material, stitching, corner wear, and overall shape. We also check the handles and straps, hardware condition and functionality, interior, and more.<\/span><\/p>\n

The original dust bag and box are not required, but we do send them to the buyer if they’re provided.<\/p>\n

Items can be refused for broken parts, not meeting condition guidelines, not including required original accessories like straps or detachable pouches or for not having a legible serial code.<\/p>\n

AUTHENTICITY<\/strong><\/h1>\n

We only accept authentic bags – no items with missing or illegible serial codes, blind stamps, or date codes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

EXTERIOR CONDITION<\/strong><\/h1>\n

The bag\u2019s exterior must show no signs of apparent daily use. Bags should be free from noticeable or deep scratches and scuffs, with no staining or marks, including water, ink or glue marks. <\/span><\/p>\n

The original color and\/or print should not have any fading or discoloration. All stitching, embellishments, and\/or embroidery should be intact. The original structure and shape of the bag should be maintained with no deflating, slouching or creasing present.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bags should not have any personalization, such as initial monogramming.<\/span><\/p>\n

CORNERS<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Corners should have no discoloration, holes, tears or split piping and should be free from visible wear. Textured or pebbled leather corners must be like new, with no excessive smoothness or balding.<\/span><\/p>\n

HANDLES + STRAPS<\/strong><\/h1>\n

In addition to maintaining their original shape, handles and straps should not show any visible signs of daily use, meaning they will be free from stains, excessive discoloration, peeling, splitting or separating. <\/span><\/p>\n

There should be no signs of cracking, wrinkling, or selective patina (darkening) on leather straps, while textile straps should have no piling.<\/span><\/p>\n

INTERIOR CONDITION<\/strong><\/h1>\n

The interior of bags should be clean with no excessive markings, stains (including ink stains), or scratches. All stitching should be intact, and pockets as well as zippers must maintain their original shape and function.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bags must also be free from all odors, including cigarette smoke, perfume or the pungent smell of mothballs.<\/span><\/p>\n

METAL HARDWARE<\/strong><\/h1>\n

All metal hardware should be functional and free from excessive discoloration, scratching, or rust. No bags with broken or missing metal hardware or zippers will be accepted. Any original accessories, such as lock and key\u00a0 must be included.<\/span><\/p>\n

ACCESSORY GUIDELINES<\/b><\/h1>\n

BELTS<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Belts follow bag condition guidelines above. They should show no signs of daily use and have their structure intact. The original belt loop must be attached and belt holes must be in excellent condition with no stretching or extra punched holes. We do not accept trimmed belts.<\/span><\/p>\n

If your handbag originally was purchased with an additional strap, pouch, or lock and key it must be included with your order. Misplaced or lost your accessories? No problem! We have created separate product listings for items without accessories.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We do not require original dust bags or boxes when selling your handbags. Still have the original dust bag and box? Include it! Your handbag\u2019s new owner would like to keep it looking pristine just like you have.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
