Nike Space Hippie 01

The Nike Space Hippie 01 is a sustainable and low-waste silhouette, part of the Space Hippie lineup, which features sneakers built with recycled materials and designed with an eco-friendly focus. From the outsole to the upper, the Nike Space Hippie 01 shoes are made using leftovers from Nike's cutting room floor, known as "Space Junk." Recycled materials, including around 85% polyester reprocessed from plastic bottles, yarn straps, and clothing, are used on the lightweight, knitted upper. The Space Hippie 01 also features cushioned insoles made from ZoomX foam left over from the production of Vaporfly 4% runners. In addition to the sustainable materials used in the Space Hippie 01, this sneaker comes in a low-waste design with reduced excess material and a streamlined creation process to minimize waste. Midsoles in all the sneakers in this collection are made from a Crater Foam. 15% of the material takes the appearance of ground-up waste rubber granules or a speckled finish, thanks to the Nike Grind technology. Other details of the Space Hippie 01 include style-sunburst embroidered Swooshes, webbing pull tabs, stitched-on webbing eyestays, and a unique lacing system that minimizes the carbon imprint. The Nike Space Hippie 01 is a low-cut silhouette with a boot-like appearance that forms to your feet. It is available in different colorways like the Space Hippie 01 'Carbon Green', which accentuates the shoe’s eco-friendly credentials. The 'Wolf Grey' is another unique colorway from this silhouette.
