Sneakerwatch recently posted the Top 35 Most Expensive KDs at Flight Club. We replied to most of the first 25 via Twitter but decided to put the top 10 into a post. Here is the list, including Flight Club price and average deadstock price on eBay, as well as total number of DS pairs sold on eBay in the past year (or since release).

So what’s this tell us? On the surface, we might say nothing we don’t already know – i.e., Flight Club is more expensive than eBay. But when we dig a little deeper we can see some interesting things. Consider this additional data about the three most expensive 4s:
4. KD 4 Galaxy. Flight Club $696. Avg DS eBay Price $470 (193 sold). Price volatility 31%. High $1,036.
2. KD 4 Weatherman. Flight Club $1300. Avg DS eBay Price $844 (45 sold). Price volatility 25%. High $1,500.
1. KD 4 Nerf. Flight Club $1800. Avg DS eBay Price $1650 (28 sold). Price volatility 35%. High $2,600.
With this much volatility around the average price for expensive KDs, and the High price for each being more than the Flight Club price, it makes the Flight Club price much more reasonable. When you consider what you gain by shopping at Flight Club – guaranteed authenticity, opportunity to try on the sneaker, and the experience, one might even argue that Flight Club is a better deal.
On the other hand, with the average price of the Galaxys and Weathermans being 48% and 54% more than Flight Club, plus the opportunity to grab a deal on eBay, the insights are pretty clear here.
