Reebok Kamikaze

The Reebok Kamikaze is a silhouette released as a performance basketball shoe and is the first signature sneaker for Seattle Supersonics' “Reign Man” Shawn Kemp. Renamed Hurrikaze, the Kamikaze is available in different designs and colorways.

Reebok Kamikaze sneakers have a signature look characterized by aggressive, zig-zagging lines that run from the outsole to the upper. The upper is built with leather and lightweight synthetic materials and features Reebok’s vector logo on the toe, heel, and tongue. Kamikazes also feature a padded tongue and collar for support and comfort, complemented by a breathable textile lining. The EVA midsole in Reebok Kamikaze sneakers is designed to offer support and cushioning, thanks to the soft material used in its build helping to minimize stress on the feet and absorb impact. Rounding out the design of this silhouette is a high abrasion outsole with a herringbone pattern for additional grip. It is also resistant to skidding and oil.

Reebok Kamikaze sneakers are available in different styles, including high-cut and low-cut. The NiceKicks x Reebok Kamikaze II Low "NBA Jam" is one of the low-cut options in the selection. The partnership between Reebok and NiceKicks features the signature franchise colors, with a suede base and TV static graphics highlighting the midsole and zig-zag overlays. Collaborative editions are also part of this selection. For instance, Reebok has teamed up with Los Angeles-based fashion brand BAIT for the Reebok Kamikaze 2 BAIT X Bruce Lee sneaker, a black and yellow colorway that pays homage to Bruce Lee’s famous jumpsuit from the 1979 movie “Game of Death.” The original black and white Reebok Kamikaze is also available in different iterations.
