Certain Listings items include an option to purchase StockX verification before the item ships to the buyer. When selected, the item routes through a StockX Verification Center for a fixed fee of $12.50 USD, giving buyers added assurance that the item matches the description.
Please note: Listings is currently available to buyers in the United States, exclusively on the StockX iOS app.
StockX determines verification eligibility and is not available on all Listings products. If available, buyers will have the option to purchase StockX Verification at checkout.
Adding verification at checkout
- When purchasing an eligible Listings product, select the "Add StockX Verification for $12.50" toggle at checkout.
- Review the verification fee and updated estimated delivery date. Optional verification extends delivery by approximately 2–4 business days for domestic orders.
- Complete checkout. The seller receives a shipping label to send the item to a StockX Verification Center.
Please note: Verification cannot be added after a purchase is completed. To add verification, a buyer would need to ask the seller to cancel the order so the buyer can repurchase with the verification option selected, via Direct Message.
What StockX checks
When the item arrives at a Verification Center, StockX reviews:
- Whether the product and size match the order
- Whether the item matches the listing description and images
Verification outcomes
If the item passes verification, StockX attaches a verification tag and ships the item to the buyer.
If the item does not pass verification, the order is cancelled, the item may be returned to the seller or confiscated, and the seller is charged a $15 verification failure fee. This fee applies to the seller, not the buyer. If the item fails verification, the buyer will receive a full refund, including the cost of verification.
Please note: Once the item has passed the verification process, the verification fee is non-refundable.
Returns on verified orders
The StockX Buyer Promise covers all Listings items. Buyers who believe a verification error occurred can submit a Buyer Promise request within 14 days of delivery. If the return is approved under a Buyer Promise reason, the optional verification fee is refunded to the buyer once the return is processed.
