Identity verification may be required to receive seller payouts on StockX, depending on your location, payout method, and account type. This verification is independent of the StockX account verification. Sellers in the European Economic Area (EEA) are most likely to encounter verification requirements. Sellers in the US may encounter additional verification when a certain threshold is reached. All outgoing transfers are paused until verification is successfully completed.
Completing verification
The minimum age to receive seller payouts is 18 years old. If you are a minor, a parent or legal guardian must provide their personal information to proceed, in compliance with global data privacy and payment services regulations.
- Watch for an email from StockX requesting identification data or documentation.
- Submit all required documents within the Hyperwallet payout platform only. Do not reply to the email with documents attached.
- Allow 1–3 business days for verification to be completed after documents are submitted.
Individual vs. Business account
When setting up your payout account through Hyperwallet, you will be asked to select an account type.
- Select Individual if you are an individual, sole proprietor, or single-member LLC.
- Select Business if you represent a corporation, partnership, or multi-member Limited Liability Company.
Please note: selecting the wrong account type requires you to restart the verification process from the beginning.
EEA sellers: business verification
All sellers in the European Economic Area selling as a business (corporation, partnership, or limited company) must submit documentation proving business registration. Please note: verification requirements vary by location and are subject to change.
EEA sellers: individual verification
Sellers in the European Economic Area selling as an individual may be required to submit photo identification and proof of address after reaching certain cumulative payout thresholds. These thresholds are subject to change based on regulatory requirements.
The above are examples of verification documents required, our payout provider can change the requirements at any time.
Please note: the address on your ID documents must match the billing information on your StockX user profile. Any changes to your billing information after verification has been completed will trigger the identity verification process again.
In some cases, direct correspondence with Hyperwallet Customer Service may be required to complete the verification process.
