StockX Live is a real-time shopping experience where buyers join live auctions and giveaways for new and used items. StockX Live is available on the StockX iOS app in the United States. The initial launch covers sneakers, apparel, and vintage fashion, with additional categories planned.

How StockX Live works
- Auctions run during a live show and include formats such as standard timed auctions and sudden-death auctions.
- Every bid is final and cannot be retracted.
- StockX automatically charges the winning bidder for the item, plus tax and shipping.
- The seller describes the item's condition, sizing, and any flaws during the show. Buyers should refer to what the seller shows on camera to confirm the exact item for sale.
How do I purchase items during a StockX Live show?
During a StockX Live show, sellers may offer items using several buying formats, clearly labeled on screen:
- Standard Auctions: A standard auction runs on a fixed countdown clock, with the clock resetting to 5 seconds for bids placed within 5 seconds of the timer running out.
- Sudden Death Auctions: In a sudden-death auction, the highest valid bid wins immediately when the timer ends — there's no extended bidding window. These auctions are labeled with a 💀 next to the listing.
How do I place a bid?
Auctions run in real time during the show with a visible countdown timer. To place a bid:
- Make sure you have a valid payment method on file (tap the credit card icon on the screen to add payment details).
- Swipe the bid button
- Your bid must be higher than the current highest bid
- The current leading bid is shown on screen
All bids are binding. If you win an auction, your payment method on file will be automatically charged, plus taxes and shipping.
How do Giveaways work with StockX Live?
Giveaways are hosted by sellers during Live shows and are free to enter. How giveaways work:
- Sellers may run giveaways during a live show
- Entry is free and does not require a purchase
- Winners are selected randomly from entrants who have entered the giveaway and are present during the time of selection
- If you win, you'll receive a notification and the item will appear in your orders
- Sellers cover shipping costs for giveaway items
Verification for StockX Live Orders
Live items ship directly from the seller. StockX Live purchases are covered by the StockX Buyer Promise. If a buyer receives an item that does not match its description, the buyer can request a return through the StockX Buyer Promise, and StockX will review the case.
Selling on StockX Live
- Selling access is currently limited to select users in the United States, with broader access planned.
- Users can join the Live Seller Waitlist to be notified when selling access opens.
- Every seller must pass an identity verification check before selling on StockX Live.
How do I report an issue during a StockX Live show?
You can report issues directly from the Live show using the in-app reporting tools:
- Press and hold on the username or message in a live chat
- Select "Report"
Reports are reviewed by the StockX team.
