How long do I have to ship my item after I make a sale?

Once you've sold an item on the StockX platform, you can view your pending orders from the StockX Selling tab or navigate to My Account > Selling > Pending to see all pending orders that you still need to ship. From there, you'll be able to access your shipping label and invoice.

As a general rule, Sellers have two working days to ship sales. However, there are exceptions for new release products to accommodate shipping times from retailers. All new release items sold on their release day (as stated on the product page) have three (3) additional working days to ship (5 total).

Items sold shortly after their release date may also have additional time to ship. For example, an item sold on the day after the release would have four (4) working days to ship. If sold two days after the release, it would have three (3) working days to ship and so on. Also, StockX may provide additional business days to ship various new release items at our discretion.

Please note that items sold prior to their release date must be shipped within the standard two working days time frame.

If you are unable to ship your item by the specified ship-by date, you can request a 24-hour extension within your StockX account. More information can be found in the FAQ: Can I get an extension on shipping?

Your item should be packaged according to StockX's shipping guidelines, outlined here: How to Properly Ship Your Item to StockX

Generally, this means shipping your item with the invoice on the inside of the shipping box and the shipping label attached to the outside. For more information about how to package specific items sold on the site, please browse our product lines:

Can I reuse an old box to ship something to StockX?
Yes, you can reuse an old box to ship an item to StockX provided you follow a few general guidelines:
  • Ensure that the box you are using is no more than 5 cm larger on any side than the box of the item you're shipping
  • Remove all old labels, stickers and barcodes from the shipping box
  • Remove any HAZMAT stickers or warning labels
    • NB: Even if the item you're shipping does not contain these materials, it is illegal to ship a box with these labels on the box. StockX cannot accept any item that arrives at our Verification Centre with these labels still attached.
