With the 11, they created their ideal shoe. The Nike Kobe 11 was the last signature shoe Bryant wore on the court in the NBA. Like most Kobes, this one has a low top. It's also loaded with tech that was cutting edge in its time. Released in January of 2016, this shoe featured a stronger version of Flyknit technology, made with thermoplastic polyurethane. The Kobe 11 outsole has a complex traction pattern, like many other shoes in the series. It's designed to grip the hardwood for better movement. The midsole is a drop-in. It's constructed carefully with details like Lunarlon for toe support and Zoom Air in the heel for comfort. Aesthetic touches on the original release include a graphic of legendary Greek warrior Achilles on the right heel. Four red stitch marks on the left heel recall Bryant's Achilles tendon surgery. The Kobe 11 Elite Low Tinker in Cool Grey/Black-University Red is more sedate than the Achilles Heel colorway. The Elite Low All Star in Green Glow/Black-Persian Violet is a bold and popular re-release from 2016.
