The Best Places to Watch the Game

Cafe Kujiper

Café Kuijper is a friendly place to have lunch and a drink in the evening. It is a well-known and classic spot that locals can’t get enough of. When it’s game time, the atmosphere (and food orders) take off. It is the ideal place to enjoy a friendly atmosphere and to support the national team with locals.

O’reilly’s Irish Bar

As in many European cities, there is nothing better than an Irish Pub to get into the game mood. On match days, the atmosphere is electric and, if victory is secured, you can spend the rest of the evening celebrating, an experience that won’t disappoint.

Since this is a popular bar, it’s best to make reservations in advance or come early to guarantee a table.

O’reilly’s Pub: Paleisstraat 105, 1012 ZL Amsterdam, Pays-Bas

O’donnell’s

An alternative Irish Pub to watch the game, this one located near the Peij district. Similar to O’Reilly’s, the atmosphere is great and so are the big screens to watch the games.

O’donnell’s: Ferdinand Bolstraat 5, 1072 LA Amsterdam

Post-Game Celebration Places

SkyLounge Amsterdam

To celebrate, there is nothing better than a panoramic view of Amsterdam. Sky Lounge is one of the best places to enjoy a great view.

Museum Square

Museum Square (not a bar per se but an amazing place with lots of fans). Museum Square is not a bar but one of the most popular places in Amsterdam. This square (Museumplein) is located in the middle of three major museums in Amsterdam, the Rijksmuseum, the Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art, and the Van Gogh Museum. You can expect to find the fans on this square celebrating a victory.

Hannekes Boom

If the weather allows it, we suggest you try the Hannekes Boom. Located 5 minutes from the centre by bike, this bar will give you a great summer vibe with its beach decoration and recycled pieces. It’s almost like being there!

Hannekes Boom, Dijksgracht 4, 1019 BS Amsterdam

Pllekw

This semi-industrial venue near the Nederlandsche Dok en Scheepsbouw Maatschappij (NDSM) offers one of the best panoramic views of the IJ River and its banks. The view and amazing organic food offer a variety of options for many customers, and the relaxing, chilled atmosphere helps blow off some of the post-game steam. And always with your feet in the sand.

 The Best Places to Eat

Castell Amsterdam

You need a lot of energy to watch a soccer match. And there’s nothing better than a Barbecue restaurant to get your strength back. The Castell restaurant is a trendy BBQ restaurant in Amsterdam that offers classic steakhouse dishes and a varied menu of seafood and specialties beyond the grill. The atmosphere is warm and the cocktail menu endless.
