Mainstays of streetwear culture, both a pull-over or zip-up hoodie is a key addition to any wardrobe. Purveyors of street fashion, Supreme knows a thing or two about both pieces. The Supreme Old English Stripe Zip Up Sweatshirt is just their latest addition to their catalog of over 25 years. For the Spring/Summer 2019 week 5 release we saw a new rendition of the zip-up that brings us some old school flair. The foundation was their familiar all cotton fleece zip up sweatshirt. The normal details were there including matching hood strings, full zipper and pouch pockets for both sides. Seen here in the always popular red, the only other addition of color on the front was the contrasting white stripe across the hem and cuffs. But on the back is where they add the additional flair. A larger white stripe is added across the arms and back. That is also where they used contrast piping and embroidered logo seen in Old English font. Just like when they used the font in collaboration with Independent in 2017 the font is the focus. The bold lettering and coloring works against the body just right.
