New Balance 2002R Salehe Bembury
Versace Vice President of Men’s Footwear Salehe Bembury is teaming up with New Balance this week to deliver his take on the 2002R silhouette. The New Balance 2002R Salehe Bembury draws inspiration from Antelope Canyon, a slot canyon located in the American Southwest. Its orange and blue earth-toned palette tributes the natural views that can be found on the peaceful journey through the canyon in Arizona.
Just like the canyon itself, the New Balance 2002R Salehe Bembury is rich in texture. Yellow mesh, orange hairy suede, and maroon leather smother the design’s upper in a style that leaves no dull moments. A blue shearling N logo, Salehe Bembury branded cork insoles, and an orange and maroon-speckled white sole complete this release.
The New Balance 2002R Salehe Bembury will release this Friday, October 23rd for £130 at select retailers.
Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Natural
Yeezy is back with a new colourway of their most popular silhouette with the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Natural. 350 V2s haven’t released as much in 2020 compared to previous years, nevertheless, the releases that have dropped are among the most popular on StockX.
The Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Natural is reminiscent of the 350 V2 Cream that released in 2017. Its upper is mostly white, but instead of a monotone look, hits of light grey on the Primeknit upper give this design an identity all of its own. A yellowed translucent Boost sole, a see-through side stripe, and traditional rope laces add the finishing touches to this most recent addition to the 350 V2 collection.
You can purchase the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Natural this Saturday, October 24th for £179.95 on Yeezy Supply and at select stockists.
Converse Feng Cheng Weng All-Star 2-in-1 70
Shanghai designer Feng Cheng Wang is teaming up with Converse to release two deconstructed iterations of the Chuck Taylor with the Converse Feng Cheng Wang All-Star 2-in-1 70. While this release is now an official collaboration, it didn’t start that way. Back in October of 2018, Feng Cheng Wang customized 30 pairs of Chuck Taylors for their Spring / Summer 2019 show. The unique silhouettes gained a buzz and now, they will officially release globally.
The Converse Feng Cheng Wang 70 2-in-1 arrives in two colourways: one featuring a black and white neutral look, and the other more vibrant, shaded orange look. Each design’s upper features a layering of two different canvas materials in line with the designer’s prominent use of reconstructed design language. The classic Chuck Taylor sole is doubled, with points of separation on the toe and midfoot.
The Converse Feng Cheng Weng 70 2-in-1 will be available Thursday, October 22nd for £140 on the Converse site and at select retailers.
1017 ALYX 9SM x Nike Air Force 1 High
This week, we finally see the release of the ALYX x Nike AF1 after being teased all the way back in January at Paris Fashion Week. Co-founder Matthew Williams looks to continue his domination within the fashion industry, after being appointed creative director at Givenchy, by taking over one of Nike’s most iconic silhouettes.
We see just two of the four colourways release this week, a triple-black and a second black design with a white swoosh. Each comes crafted from premium tumbled leathers, with signature ALYX details and the legendary buckle starring on the collar. Minimalist foil stamping features on the heels of the sneakers, with an embroidered swoosh featuring on the back.
This clean take on a classic from 1017 ALYX 9SM is sure to be a hit amongst Air Force 1 collectors. The 1017 ALYX 9SM x Nike Air Force 1 High will be available on October 24 on Nike’s website and select stockists. Pricing details have not been revealed.
Comme des Garçons x Nike Air Force 1 Mid
Comme des Garçons has become experts at deconstructing iconic Nike silhouettes for their collaborations. We have seen them deconstruct both the Air Mowabb and Air Max 95 in recent years, but their take on the Air Force 1 may be the best yet.
Two colourways are releasing of the collaboration, in triple-black and triple-white. These colourways are already iconic for the Air Force 1, so Comme des Garçons look to add to the allure by pulling the shoe apart and showing the construction process. Premium leather features throughout, with the iconic swoosh and collar cut out and re-added to give them the illusion of floating. The shoes deconstructed aesthetic is elevated due to the raw edges of these cut-out sections of the sneaker.
The Comme des Garçons logo features on the velcro section of the collar, whilst a Nike Air logo is also pressed on the heel of the shoe. You will also find co-branding inside of the sneaker. This minimalist, the deconstructed design is becoming a Comme des Garçons staple when they collaborate with Nike. A must-have for sneakerheads that follow both brands.
The Nike Air Force 1 Mid Comme des Garçons releases this Friday, October 23, exclusively at Comme des Garçons and Dover Street Market stores globally and online at DSM E-SHOPs for a retail price of £250.
