Super Bowl LVI is less than a week away, and Panini is helping to build the hype by giving us an annual staple: 2021 Panini Rookies & Stars Football. They also deliver the 2021-22 Panini NBA Hoops Premium Box Set that holds low print run cards and autographs for some of the top talents playing in the NBA All-Star game at the end of this month, as well as the rookies we’ll see in the Rising Stars game. 2021-22 Panini NBA Hoops Premium Box Set
When it comes to ripping boxes, it’s always a game of chance, but the 2021-22 Panini NBA Hoops Premium Box Set promises you one Tribute autograph in every box that has a print run of ten total copies. The other 270 cards you’ll find in the box are the complete 270 card base set that includes 50 rookies such as Cade Cunningham, Jalen Green, Evan Mobley, and more. Each card in the box set is printed on premium opti-chrome stock, and has a print run of 199.
The 2021-22 Panini NBA Hoops Premium Box Set will be released on the Panini America website utilizing the Dutch auction format where the price will start at $4,000 and drop every few minutes until it sells out, or hits the $750 mark. The Dutch audition is scheduled to begin at 12PM EST on Thursday, February 10th.
2021 Panini Rookies & Stars Football
2021 Panini Rookies & Stars (R & S) has the honor of seeing its release during Super Bowl week. The 200 card base set sees an even split of 100 veterans and 100 rookies. Other options in the set include inserts such as Star Studded and Stellar Rookies, along with a plethora of sticker autograph and sticker autograph memorabilia cards that include the likes of Rookie Signatures, Airborne Signatures, Crusade Signatures, Dress for Success, and Great American Signatures. The 2021 rookie class will of course be the cards to chase covering the talents of Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields, Mac Jones, Ja’Marr Chase, and more.
The 2021 Panini R & S Football Hobby Box holds ten cards per pack, and six packs per box, promising four total hits in the form of two autographs and two memorabilia cards. Additionally, you can expect 12 inserts, six Opti-Chrome inserts, 12 rookie cards, and five limited print run serial numbered parallels.
The 2021 R & S Football Hobby Box releases on February 9th on the Panini America website. Retail products such as blasters and hanger boxes will become available in the weeks following the hobby box release at retailers such as Target and Walmart.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Battle of Chaos
Yu-Gi-Oh! Battle of Chaos introduces the first core set from Konami in 2022 and officially kicks off a new competitive season for the TCG. Noteworthy cards in the set include the introduction of the Dinomorphia archetype, in addition to new Dark Magician support, Blue-Eyes support, and Vampire support. The master set totals 100 cards and is broken down into 10 Secret Rares, 14 Ultra Rares, 26 Super Rares, and 50 Commons.
Each Yu-Gi-Oh! Battle of Chaos Booster Box contains nine cards per pack, and 24 packs per box. You can find the Battle of Chaos Booster Box starting on February 10th at local and online trading card hobby shops.
Be@rbrick x INNERSECT 2021 My First Baby
INNERSECT has become one of East Asia’s top events celebrating the best in the world of art and fashion. Since making its debut in 2017, the event has hosted some world-class collaborative projects including Virgil Abloh x NIKE’s “The Ten”, Daniel Arsham x Disney, Levi’s x Futura, and several Be@rbrick collabs. The 2021 event has given us yet another incredible drop in the form of the Be@rbrick x INNERSECT 2021 My First Baby collection. Three identical Be@rbricks make up the complete set in the 100%, 400%, and 1000% size. Each ursine figure holds a blueprint that mimics denim covering its head, arms, and waist, with a translucent torso that appears to be filled with a mix of blue and transparent marbles. The words “MY FIRST BE@RBRICK B@BY” are printed on the front, while the word “INNERSECT” is printed in a white cursive script on the back of the figure.
The Be@rbrick x INNERSECT 2021 My First Baby 100%, 400%, and 1000% figure will release on February 11th on the official Be@rbrick website with the 100% & 400% set retailing for $290 and the 1000% figure retailing for $1,065.
