Kith is on a collaborative roll right now. After announcing and delivering the first installment of a partnership with golf giant, TaylorMade, Kith is back again with yet another monumental collaborator. For Spider-Man’s 60th anniversary, Kith has officially partnered with Marvel on a release that goes far beyond the traditional apparel collection and accessory assortment. This partnership appears to have struck a very special chord with Kith’s founder Ronnie Fieg, who is from Queens, the same neighborhood as Peter Parker. The collection includes apparel and accessories like most others from the brand, but on top of that, Marvel has created a special edition comic book for the collection. That comic book, which features an appearance from Fieg, came in both a physical and digital version with every apparel and accessory purchase.

For their larger collection, Kith and Marvel delivered a 39 piece assortment that features nearly 20 vintage Spider-Man T-shirts. Additionally, the collaboration includes three skate decks, and several Spidey-themed hoodies and crewneck sweatshirts. As far as StockX sales are concerned, the Kith x Marvel Spider-Man Vintage T-shirts have been the most popular pieces from the collection by far. Unlike most t-shirt releases, Kith and Marvel have declined to deliver multiple colorways of any of the graphic t-shirts. Each shirt is entirely unique, featuring graphics that are unrepeated throughout the rest of the collection and draw on the many different iterations of Spider-Man to exist over the last 60 years.

Two of the most popular t-shirts from the Kith x Marvel Spider-Man collection mirror each other almost perfectly. One, the most popular on StockX so far, is a black t-shirt that features Spider-Man in his black suit clearly wielding the power of the Symbiote that created it. The other is a white t-shirt that features a heroic looking Spider-Man in his vivid blue and red suit set against a white t-shirt. Though the two graphics aren’t exactly the same, both feature some resemblance to Sam Raimi and Toby McGuire’s Peter Parker in Spider-Man 3, where the hero from Queens wears both the traditional Spider-Man suit and the black suit created by the Symbiote. Kith has delivered both t-shirts in a standard fit with a vintage wash on a high quality 230 GSM cotton jersey fabric.

The comic book produced as a part of this Kith x Marvel partnership cements Ronnie Fieg’s legacy as an official part of the Spider-Man universe. The comic book’s storyline follows Spider-Man as he tries to protect his home city from a robot army controlled by Doctor Octopus. Featured on the cover of the comic book is a Kith billboard and Ronnie Fieg even appears in the comic book itself. Additionally, the Kith x Marvel Spider-Man Comic Book features other prominent faces from the Marvel universe like The Tinkerer and Iron Man.

Known for going above and beyond for their partnerships, Kith pulled out all of the stops for this release. As if nearly 40 collaborative apparel items and accessories weren’t enough, the New York apparel brand also hosted a three-day pop-up in Queens from July 15th, the day of the release, to July 17th. The event was hosted in a concept space designed to look like a corner store, with an unassuming door that let guests into a hidden space to shop the collection. The entire collection was available inside alongside an assortment of vintage Spider-Man comics and collectibles.
