What is Flex?

Flex is a programme for Sellers to store, list and sell pre-verified items with StockX. This programme is available to select Sellers in the United States and Europe who have agreed to the Flex Terms of Service. Buyers on StockX will see these items listed as Xpress Ship or by a rocket icon next to the product on the StockX website or app.

Sellers in Flex can send eligible items to StockX’s Verification Centres and authorised warehouses, where they are verified and securely held in inventory. As soon as a Flex Ask matches with a Buyer and an order is placed, StockX will despatch the item from Flex inventory, directly to the Buyer. To learn more about Xpress Ship, visit our article here.

How do I get started on Flex?
To get started, navigate to StockX Pro and open the Flex Inbound Lists tab. To move your items into Flex, click on the green button at the top that says "Send Items to Flex". This button also appears under Flex in the Inventory Tab.

If you click on the search area, you'll see a suggested list of SKUs. You won't be able to select some of them because they're not eligible for Flex. Those that you are able to select are eligible.

Click an eligible item and you'll see a list of sizes. You can select the sizes you want to send, up to a maximum of 16 pairs of sneakers per box. Please attach the correct shipping label to the box that corresponds to the manifest you created. This is essential to avoid intake issues.

What are the fees associated with Flex?
The table below displays the fees for each eligible Seller level, as well as the discounts for meeting certain criteria. The item days-in-storage count begins as soon as the item is available for listing on StockX via Flex. Flex Sellers will receive an Inventory Storage Invoice on the 1st of each month, with the fees charged on the 15th of each month.

Flex Fee Structure (Eligible Sellers)
  • Seller Level 2: 6.5% fee
  • Seller Level 3: 6% fee
  • Seller Level 4: 5.5% fee
  • Seller Level 5: 5% fee

Additional Discounts and Fees
  • Flex Velocity Discount: Flex Quick Sale Discount: 1% fee discount if the item is sold within 7 days.
  • Payment Processing Fee: 3%
  • Fulfilment Fee: $5 per item for Sellers in the US or €5 per item for Sellers in Europe.
  • Storage Fee: Items in storage for 31-120 days are billed at $0.50/month for Sellers in the US or €0.50/month for Sellers in Europe, and items in storage for 121+ days are billed at $1.50/month for Sellers in the US or €1.50/month for Sellers in Europe.
  • Return Fee: $10/item for Sellers in the US or €10/item for Sellers in Europe.

Which items are eligible for Flex?
Brands in the following categories can be sold on Flex. Bear in mind that some bulky items such as rugs, chairs and other types of furniture may not be eligible:
  • Sneakers
  • Apparel
  • Accessories
  • Electronics
  • Collectibles
  • Trading Cards
  • Select PlayStation Items

How does verification work for Flex items?
Just like all other items on StockX, Flex items are subject to our proprietary, multi-step verification process from our team of Verification Experts. With Flex, once you send your item to StockX, we’ll verify it and add it to our inventory. When the pre-verified item sells, we’ll ship it to the Buyer straight away.

How much does it cost to get my item back from Flex?
There is a $10/item fee for Sellers in the US (or €10/item for Sellers in Europe) to return an item out of Flex inventory. StockX will ship your item back to the shipping address in your account.

How do I get paid on Flex?
If your item or items are sold, you will receive your payout, subject to any and all applicable fees and taxes. Since your items are already verified once they sell, you'll get paid the day we process your order with Scheduled Payouts. Read more about Scheduled Payouts here.
