If you are unable to buy and/or sell using your account on StockX, here are a couple of possible reasons:
- As a Seller, repeated incomplete sales are the most common reason why your account might be suspended. Failure to send items out for verification and failure to send items that pass the StockX verification process will result in penalty fees and eventually suspension, depending on the number of failures and their severity.
As a Buyer, issuing a chargeback with your financial institution will result in your account being suspended. In the event of suspected account fraud and accidental purchases, it is always recommended that you contact StockX Customer Service before asking your bank or card issuer for a chargeback.
Reasons for suspension include:
- Chargeback Filed: The account is suspended due to a dispute filed on one or more orders. Contact your payment provider for questions about the dispute or to drop the dispute. Suspension appeals related to disputes are only reviewed once a final decision is made on the dispute (30 days or more).
- Duplicate Account: The account has duplicate information matching an existing suspended account. StockX does not permit the creation of false accounts. If your account has been suspended, do not create or use additional accounts. Doing so may result in further suspensions and complications. To appeal, identify the original suspended account and appeal using its details.
- Former Team Member: The account is associated with a former employee. To reactivate buying and selling privileges, update the email address on your 'My Account' page prior to submitting a suspension appeal.
- Fraud Concerns: The account is suspended due to an activity that may violate our Terms and Conditions of Use.
- Malicious Behaviour: Your account is suspended due to an activity that may violate our Terms and Conditions of Use while interacting with StockX or a StockX employee.
- Penalty Charge Failure: Your account is suspended because of an unpaid penalty or other charges relating to cancelled sales. Suspension appeals related to penalty charge failures will only be reviewed once you have updated your billing information and authorised collection of funds owed.
- Regulatory Requirement Suspension: Your selling privileges and pending payouts are suspended because we couldn't verify your account information to comply with a regulatory requirement.
- Repeated Cancellations: Repeated incomplete sales have resulted in your account suspension. If this is your first cancellation, you can appeal after 6 months of your original suspension date. Multiple suspensions are permanent. For more information, visit our FAQ: Why am I unable to place an Ask?
