The adidas Yung-1 Cloud White was released on September 13, 2018, just a few months after the first Yung-1 models. Riding on the dad shoe revival wave, these sneakers hearken back to the late 90s Falcon Dorf, one of the brand’s most famous and best-sold designs ever.
Similar to its Yung-1 series mates, the Cloud White model is a modern take on the classic “dad” shoe. This runner sports a bit chunky profile and an interesting pattern of mesh, leather, and nubuck accents all over the upper. The sole is heavily sculpted and done in a subtle combination of tan and white.
Starting at the toe, the adidas Yung-1 Cloud White sports a mesh cover with white nubuck edge and tan suede details which extend to the middle section. Moving up the shoe, the lace eyes and the surrounding area are done in the same tan suede. Beneath them, there’s a white “three stripe” logo against a mesh background. The mesh tongue is topped with the classic embroidered Adidas logo.
The heavily sculpted sole features a light tan, black, and white front with an X-shaped torsion plate in the middle. Outsoles feature an interesting pattern, similar to hiking shoes.
