Following the popularity of the “sketch” design, Nike continues the trend of showing the design process through its sneakers with the Air Max 1 Tinker Schematic. Tinker Hatfield is an American designer and one of the most well known Nike Sneaker designers.
The new Air Max 1 colorway takes Tinkers original notes while designing the shoe and puts them right onto the sneaker for all to see. The sneaker starts with a white leather base. Stitching around the entire shoe is detailed in black. Around the entire shoe are small notes from Tinker, like swoosh sizing, and spacing, notes on the material. On the back heel is Tinker’s signature and design date of 7/23/86. The white midsole has black detailing to show indents, and a translucent outsole wraps up the shoe.
