On the imaginary Mount Rushmore of legendary hoopers that we strictly refer to by their initials, KD, or Kevin Durant, is up there. Kevin Durant’s shoes, like his game, have stood out since their debut. Not only are Nike KD’s some of the best-performing basketball sneakers on the market, but their unique silhouettes and playful colorways have always stood out, making them popular among sneakerheads. With the recent release of the Nike KD 17, we compiled a list of some of the hottest KD’s on StockX.

Nike KD 4 ‘Weatherman’

Originally released in 2011, the Nike KD 4 Weatherman will be re-released in May 2024 to many sneakerheads’ delight. The shoes are a tribute to Kevin Durant’s second career choice as a weatherman. They feature doppler radar-inspired graphics that wrap around the heel and thermo-mapping scans of KD’s actual footprint on the outsole. Without a doubt, one of the most sought-after sneakers within KD’s shoe collection.

Nike KD 4 ‘Galaxy’

The Nike KD 4 Galaxy is another shoe from KD’s past that returned this year. Originally released during All Star Weekend in 2012, the Nike KD Galaxy 4 features a signature silver upper, orange accents, and space-themed details throughout, with the glow-in-the-dark outsoles being the most notable

Nike KD 7 ‘Aunt Pearl’

You can’t talk about KD without mentioning Aunt Pearl. Almost every ‘Aunt Pearl’ shoe that Durant releases is popular, but there’s something undeniably magical about Nike KD 7 Aunt Pearl. Named after Kevin Durant’s late aunt who passed away from lung cancer in 2000, the shoe features a predominantly white colorway with pink and gold accents. There’s something about the angel wing toe straps, or maybe it’s the golden swoosh along the toe – the shoe has a divine quality. They are stylish, sincere, and arguably Durant’s best iteration of the ‘Aunt Pearl’ colorway.

Nike KD 12 ‘EYBL Nike Nationals’

In general, Nike’s EYBL-related products are always successful. These were originally released in 2019 during the girls’ Nike Nationals tournament. The multicolored, almost tie-dyed violet and yellow shoelaces are paired with an icy translucent outsole. The colorway itself is dominated by pastel purple, with hits of bright yellow and peach-like mango hues. Even though the shoes are bright, they are not overblown. Somehow both eye-catching and understated, all the colors subtly blend on this KD, making it one of Nike’s best.

Nike KD 6 ‘Peanut Butter & Jelly’

Paying tribute to Kevin Durant’s favorite childhood snack, these KD 6’s feature a peanut-buttery laser orange on most of the upper, with a raspberry red swoosh on the toe. One of the coolest things about these shoes is the swoosh, which is naturally reminiscent of dripping jelly. That same raspberry-red color is also used on the tongue tab and inner lining. The black accents on the midsole, tongue, and ‘KD’ lettering on the heel tie everything together. Overall, this is a very fun, clean, and well-designed shoe.
