Black Supreme AKIRA Work Jacket

The black Supreme AKIRA Work Jacket was for the individual who wants to show their love for both brands on the daily. Katshiro Otomo’s AKIRA was a manga that ran from 1982-1990 and was created into a feature film in 1988. The story involved a vision of a future where beings with supernatural powers, corruption and drugs were all part of a alternate Japan. Critically acclaimed, AKIRA has inspired people for over three decades. Supreme was allowed access to Otomo’s original artwork from the manga to use for this collection. The work jacket base allowed them to use two scenes with high impact. Changing things up, the front had the “Pills” scene embroidered onto the right chest, while the “Neo-Tokyo” explosion image was used on the back. Also added onto the rear hem is the co-branded logo based on the story’s original poster. A black heavyweight cotton blend twill jacket was chosen as the foundation. The zip jacket has a quilted liner to battle the colder elements. A quick sell on its release date of November 2nd, 2017, the Supreme AKIRA Work Jacket is a great addition to any fan of Supreme and/or AKIRA.
