You may not know it but BTS is back! Ten long months after the release of Map of the Soul: Persona, BTS is back with their new album Map of the Soul: 7! If you’re anything like me, you’ve been anxiously counting down the days until the boys’ next release. If instead you’re thinking, “Who is BTS, why do I always see their names trending on Twitter, and how do I get BTS’s clothes?” don’t worry, I got you. Here’s the rundown:

BTS a.k.a. Bangtan Sonyeondan a.k.a. “Beyond the Scene” are a seven-member Korean pop group that debuted in 2013. Since 2015, they’ve steadily gained popularity in both Korea and abroad due to their socially conscious messages, intricate choreo, love and passion for performing, and sincere gratitude that they show to their fans. 2017 marked their crossover into the international music scene when they became the first Korean group to receive a platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America for their single “Mic Drop”. Since then, the group has continued to break boundaries and smash records. Most recently, becoming the first Korean group to perform at the GRAMMYs in January 2020.

With tens of millions of fans worldwide (24 million on Twitter alone), BTS’ clothes, style, reach, and influence are undeniable. Fans known collectively as “Army” diligently follow BTS’ every move through their tweets, video logs, V Live broadcasts, and musical performances. And thanks to numerous fan accounts on social media like BTS0715, GetonSwag & BTS’ Closet, all of BTS’ clothes are well documented on and off the stage.

To celebrate the release of their new album and new record-breaking video here are 15 streetwear, sneaker, and handbag picks straight from the closets of RM, Jin, Suga, V, Jungkook, JHope, and Jimin. Plus, all of these are available for purchase on StockX right now. Perfect for browsing while you listen to “Interlude: Shadow” on repeat.

Streetwear

The Best Streetwear of BTS Clothes

Fear of God Essentials Shorts – RM

When he’s not rocking head-to-toe Visvim, BTS leader RM keeps it comfy in Fear of God. These Fear of God Essentials Graphic Sweat Shorts in Black are perfect for lounging, traveling, or dancing. Boy with Luv Dance Practice anyone?

Yeezy Calabasas Track Pants – JHope

Channel JHope’s off-duty style with the Yeezy Calabasas Track Pants in Umber Core.  A repeat offender in the closet of BTS’ main dancer, these track pants are an easy staple piece with high re-wearability (and they’re under retail)!

Supreme x Stone Island Vest – Suga & JHope

BTS rapper and composer Suga sported this military-inspired Supreme x Stone Island Vest while returning home to Korea following a stint of concerts in Japan during the “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” Tour. Fellow BTS rapper Hobi also sported the coral version of this vest (along with the matching cargo pants) in a video that he posted of himself dancing to Twitter.

Kids See Ghosts Hoodie – JHope

From museum hopping, to dance practice, to a shoot of the boys’ wildly popular self-produced variety show “Run BTS!” (see episodes 89-90), Hobi donned this Kids See Ghosts Freeee Hoodie in Core on many occasions throughout 2019.

Supreme Nas Tee – JHope & RM

Both JHope and RM have shown their love for Nas through their lyrics (see “Hip Hop Phile”) and their clothes by sporting this Supreme Nas Tee in white and black respectively. The boys got to meet their idol at the GRAMMYs this year and fans were delighted when they posted a picture with both Nas and Lil Nas X following the group’s performance of “Seoul Town Road”.

Sneakers

The Best Sneakers of BTS Clothes

Prada Cloudburst – Jungkook

“Black, big size, comfy” – three words BTS’ youngest Jungkook uses to describe his approach to personal style. And when it comes to footwear his taste is no different. Jungkook loves a chunky, oversized shoe, and these Prada Cloudburst Thunder Knit Sneakers in Black fit right into his collection.

Balenciaga Speed Trainers – Yoongi, Taehyung & RM

From NY to Cali, London to Paris, the Balenciaga Speed Trainers in Black & White are a group favorite for dancing, traveling, and every other activity in between. Suga, V, and RM have all been spotted sporting the style throughout the years and the chic, streamlined silhouette easily complements each of their unique styles.

Yeezy Slippers in Black – Taehyung

BTS love a good slide. Recently Taehyung (aka “V”) has been reaching for the Yeezy Supply Neoprene Slipper in Black to say cozy. The slides were even featured in the video for “Winter Bear”, Tae’s solo song released in August 2019. Member JHope is also a fan of the slide and has been seen sporting them in Oxblood and Graphite.

Dior Oblique B23 High Top – JHope

These Dior B23 High Tops feature the classic Dior Oblique pattern printed on a canvas upper with a mesh overlay. BTS member JHope was first seen sporting the style in December 2018. Soon after, multiple members were seen rocking the shoe when the group wore head to toe Dior looks straight from house’s Spring 2019 collection to MAMA 2018. Then in February of 2019, BTS posted a picture to Twitter with Dior Homme artistic director Kim Jones.

Fast forward to May of 2019, Dior dropped a surprise announcement stating that Jones would be designing outfits for the then highly anticipated “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” Tour. As a result of that collaboration, we got this spectacle of the crew in full Dior kits.

Dior + BTS = a match made in fashion heaven.

JW Anderson x Converse Run Hike – Jimin

BTS’ love for Converse is no secret. They have a whole song about it. An unexpected take on the classic Chuck Taylor, the JW Anderson x Converse Run Hike pushes the boundaries of conventional chucks by adding a chunky platform sole which plays with the Dad Shoe and Utility Wear trends. They’re perfect for adding light flair to a casual, everyday look as Jimin did during rehearsals for the group’s performance on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve”. Due to the popularity of the JW Anderson Run Hike, Converse added the style to their core collection in December 2019, and the black version of which can be found here.

In 2018, Jimin gifted the bag to Jungkook as a birthday gift as seen in this Bangtan Bomb. Perfect for carrying camera equipment or anything else that you may need.

Chanel Gabrielle – Jimin & Suga

A recent favorite of BTS member Jimin, the Chanel Gabrielle is a hobo style bag introduced by Karl Lagerfeld in 2017. Jimin adds a special touch to the bag with pins and embroidery all over the piece. Bandmate Suga is also a fan of the style, carrying a gold quilted version which he sometimes accessorizes with an Off-White strap.

Givenchy Antigona – Jin

Taking it back to 2016 “Blood Sweat and Tears” era, BTS’ eldest, Jin, is shown here on the way to broadcast at Music Bank, carrying a Givenchy Antigona. This now classic style from the French fashion house is a modern take on a Boston bag with its boxy silhouette and clean lines.

Dior x Kaws Bee Saddle – JHope

Part of the highly successful Dior x Kaws collection of Spring Summer 2019, this Dior x Kaws Bee Saddle prominently features KAWS’ bee illustration giving this boyish bag a cute, cartoonish vibe perfect for the group’s bright and bubbly rapper. Here, JHope pairs it with the aforementioned B23 High Tops also from Dior.

BONUS – BT21 x Anti Social Social Club

In 2018, Anti Social Social Club had its first collaboration with BT21, a series of cartoon characters designed by Line Friends with the members of BTS.
