Air Max Day is approaching, and, like every year, it’s best to arrive prepared for the celebrations. In this article, you’ll find a selection of outfits featuring products that perfectly fit the Air Max spirit.
Nike Air Max 97 OG Silver Bullet (2022)
A sneaker we definitely can’t miss is the Air Max 97 OG Silver Bullet. The shoe was re-released in December last year in all sizes, and it comes just as the silver trend in clothing is starting to be seen everywhere.
With that in mind, the resulting outfit is built precisely to emphasise the silver of the shoe with a simple jeans and tee combination. I recommend a pair of the Stussy x Levi’s Embossed 501 Jeans Stussy Rugged-Blue combined with the Supreme “Play Dead” White Tee which, with its red lettering echoes the details of the Air Max.

Building off of these two simple garments, the ideal would be to add a statement jacket, such as the college-inspired KAWS x Human Made Varsity Jacket Navy, which will give the outfit a more street feel. Finally, to embellish the look and continue the silver theme, here is the Diesel 1DR Shoulder Bag Mirrored Leather Silver. Definitely one of the most on-trend bags of the moment.
Nike Air Max 1 Premium Wabi-Sabi (Women’s)
For those that lile to keep things simple, but are also detail-oriented, the second sneaker I’ve selected to style is the Nike Air Max 1 Premium Wabi-Sabi (W), which was launched exclusively in Asia and Latin America for Air Max Day 2022. The shoe takes its name from the Japanese philosophy of finding beauty in the flaws of an object, symbolized by the imprecise yellow/gold lines on the sole. The upper recalls the colours of the earth; olive green, beige, off-white and delicate pink.
Stussy S Quilted Liner Jacket Olive
This is precisely why I chose to feature another brand that uses many delicate and earthy colours. Jacquemus. The collaborative Nike x Jacquemus Le Body Short combines a delicate and simple dress that can also be worn over a pair of shorts or leggings. Given that spring is approaching, I paired the dress with the Stussy S Quilted Liner Jacket Olive that echoes the colours of the shoe.
Lastly, add a nice pair of tone-on-tone socks, like these from Hidden NY Crew Socks, and a bag that stands out chromatically, but matches the details of the sneakers, like this Telfar Shopping Bag Small Orange which is also perfect for the spring/summer season.
Nike Air Max 95 SP Corteiz Gutta Green
If you like hip-hop and want to stand out, this outfit is for you. Released just this month, the Nike Air Max 95 SP Corteiz Gutta Green features a combination of olive colours on the upper, embellished with contrasting yellow details. The Corteiz logo is embroidered on the ankle collar and toe, while the brand’s Alcatraz logo appears on the tongue.
The shoe also features a camouflage interior which I used as inspiration for the pants, pairing the Supreme Double Knee Painter Pant (SS23) Woodland Camo, worn baggy over the sneaker. To give the outfit even more 90s flair, we suggest a white tee to be worn (strictly oversized), like the Saint Mxxxxxx Oreo T-Shirt Vintage White, and a pair of round gold earrings such as the Louis Vuitton Louise Hoop Earrings Gold.
Nike Air Max Sunder SP Comme des Garcons Homme Plus Black
Here you are well-served with a blockecore inspired outfit that is ready for any urban adventure. Let’s start with the shoe. The Nike Air Max Sunder SP Comme des Garcons Homme Plus Black features an all-black neoprene upper, with a nubuck mudguard and a small tone-on-tone Swoosh on the side while the Comme des Garcons logo is on the tongue. The shoe closes via a zipper, so no laces or special system, to be opened and closed functionally and fast.
Off-White x Nike 001 Soccer Jersey Blue
Match the shoe with a logoed terrycloth sock like this one from Nike x Drake NOCTA. To emphasize the soccer inspiration for this fit, I thought of a pair of black jersey shorts like the Eric Emanuel EE Basic Short (SS22) Black/White to wear loose on the waist and a soccer jersey like the one from Off-White x Nike 001 Soccer Jersey.

I could not fail to mention the special outfit that can “pierce the screen.” Precisely for this reason, I have chosen a somewhat underrated Air Max which, however, is suitable for those who want to make it clear that they have unique taste. The Nike Air Max 90 Shanghai Must Win Cake, released exclusively for women in a special Nike pack pays tribute to the famous sweets in various cities around the world. The shoe comes in Space Pink shade and features a totally textured embossed upper with a few touches of red.
Supreme Shibori Denim-Trucker Jacket Rigid Indigo
To complete it, match it with a red and pink hoodie that echoes the shoe colors, like the Sp5der Worldwide Red Angel Number 555 Hoodie Red, and a pink heart-shaped handbag that adds playfulness to the look, the Coach Heart Crossbody True Pink. To break away and sharpen the outfit, we suggest the Hysteric Glamour x Kiko Kostadinov Women’s Denim Skirt Trouser Blue created by the two sister designers Laura and Deanna Fanning who are part of the Kiko Kostadinov team.
