The Supreme Alphabet Silk Shirt is the latest item that your dad probably wouldn’t wear. Made as part of the brand’s popular Spring/Summer 2018 collection of apparel, the silk shirt is different from any other the’ve created previously. This is mainly due to the new graphic appearing on the shirt along with the message the brand added into the letters. The original graphic comes from French artist Erte, created over many years. Supreme took it upon themselves to use the art but remixed it up with their own spin, namely a special message added in the middle. The same message is front and center on the shirt. Apparently the brand originally may have had some issues using the artist’s work, with the preview images being taken down. But luckily it seems like the parties came to an agreement as the “Alphabet” patten was used a few pieces for the season. The base of the short sleeve shirt was navy blue silk, one of four colorways made. A single chest pocket was added with the red Supreme tag added on the inner collar. But the main feature was the colorful printed pattern on the front and back. Selling for $158 when it released on May 24th, 2018, matching silk pants were also released.
