Best New Music Releases This Week

Future I Never Liked You CD

Fresh off being named The Best Rapper Alive by GQ, Future delivered his latest album, I Never Liked You. With a sprawling 22 songs featuring Drake, Kanye, Gunna, and Detroit frontrunners Babyface Ray and 42 Dugg, Future has shifted from Beast Mode to institution mode. This is the sound of an artist settling into his imperial phase – not bad for a man once known as Meathead.

Jack Harlow Come Home the Kids Miss You Cassette White

Jack Harlow is back with his second studio album, Come Home the Kids Miss You. In the past few years, Harlow has increasingly become a fixture in the pop firmament since releasing his debut album, That’s What They All Say, dueting with Lil Nas X on “Industry Baby”, and NBA-player name-checking on “Tyler Herro”. It looks to be an exciting year for the Kentucky-bred rap star.

Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star 70 Hi Kendrick Lamar pgLang White

Kendrick Lamar’s newest album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, has finally dropped. Since the album’s IG announcement and stunning deepfake video for “The Heart Part 5”, anticipation for his DAMN. follow-up had been at an all-time high. While we’re listening to his latest opus, don’t sleep on the recently released Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star 70 Hi Kendrick Lamar pgLang. Focusing on embracing the unknown, these Chucks are part of a collection that also includes a Pro Leather. It looks – and sounds – like it’s going to be Kendrick’s summer.

Bad Bunny delighted the music world with the surprise release of his latest album, Un Verano Sin Ti. Since the album’s release, it has been certified as the most-streamed album of 2022 on Spotify, and Bad Bunny has dethroned Drake as the most-streamed artist of 2022 (so far). While we wait for the physical album to release, be sure and cop one of the most popular music items on StockX, Bad Bunny’s Trilogy box set. This summer, no one can do without Bad Bunny’s vibes.

This is the perfect album to put on while you ride off into the sunset – all summer long.

Toro y Moi Mahal Limited Edition LP Vinyl Blue with White Splatter

The once and future chillwave avatar, Toro y Moi, is back with his latest album, Mahal. This time around, Chaz Bear opens up his sound for a funky, loose assemblage that is downright joyful. Mahal results from an artist opening up and having fun – and we’re all the better for it.

Pink Floyd A Saucerful of Secrets Mono Mix LP Vinyl Black

Previously only available as a limited edition LP on Record Store Day 2019, a mono mix of Pink Floyd’s 1968 album, A Saucerful of Secrets, is available again. Remastered from the 1968 analog tapes, hear classic bangers “Set Controls for the Heart of the Sun”,  “Remember a Day”, and “Jugband Blues” in the original punch of the mono mix. This is also the only album to feature all five members of Pink Floyd – David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Syd Barrett, Nick Mason, and Richard Wright. Tyler, The Creator Call Me If You Get Lost LP Vinyl Black

Supreme Lil’ Kim Skateboard Deck Silver

Shockingly, Supreme waited until 2022 to collab with Lil’ Kim. The popularity of the Supreme Lil’ Kim Skateboard Deck Silver attests to the continued relevance of Lil’ Kim. The Queen Bee’s fingerprints are all over the attitude and style of Megan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj, Saweetie, Cartel Madras, and Cardi B, to name a few. In addition to the skate decks, Supreme also dropped Lil’ Kim picture tees and short-sleeve button-up shirts.
